despite the abrupt ending to it, kyla’s had such a perfect “model” career imo, making the olympic team as a first year senior in a deep field, winning gold, then going onto winning 4 individual world medals, 2 of them AA, making it to 2015 for a total 6 years of elite. and then, starting a prolific ncaa career as well, 10s and event titles from her first year to contributing to the national team title, to two gymslams, to starting her last year on fire. it’s sad that the end came when neither of us were aware of it but what a streak, what an absolute legend she is, kyla bo$$ 🤩🤩💗💗🤧🤧

Who'd have thought she'd be floor champion the next season back then! Such a testament to her hard work (and Jordyn Wieber's coaching!)

anyway i never promised to be unbiased and i said im not one of those people who just wants a good competition and a hit meet all around, it’s a sport and my team isn’t winning and im pissed about it so no one subtweet me on twitter ill have a cooler head tomorrow 

see i’m already calming down and getting a clearer head. Have some calmer opinions. Final ranking of the teams was correct. iIn my opinion  Kyla was slightly underscored on beam and slightly overscored on floor so it balanced out. While OU landing with their legs so far apart isn’t against the rules, I hate the way it looks, but I get it’s hard to take out of the code since it’s a safer landing, but it’s uhhhhh not pretty at all. Maggie’s floor routine is plenty difficult enough and it fits the code so a 10.0 start is correct, but the fact all the diffuclty is packed into the first 45 seconds sucks and it’s immensly boring and imo you could argue for a distribution deduction. Marz should have been on floor over Nia. Hopefully Anna gets back into bars over Fish, and I love Maddie but she shouldn’t be on beam. Hopefully Sekai can clean that vault up before next year. Brenna deserved a 10 for that vault, OU was garaunteed to win by that point they should have just gone all the way. 

Overall there was no suspense and no drama,and I was bored af by the halfway mark but UCLA is the only team that realistically could challenge OU on a good day but they made mistakes they haven’t made all season and gave it away (and I died). LSU had a great meet, but they did about all they could do, but Sarah is one of the most beautiful gymnasts ever and I will miss watching her.  

Uhhhh Denver was just happy to be there, but I’m glad they had such a good season. And Kaitlyn Schou having a 100% hit rate is an incredible accomplishment.

The way Oklahoma lands with their feet so apart on their beam landings are oooof. Also 9.9625 for Maggie on beam seems high
