I love Kirishima. A lot. And I love your blog because it mainly focus on him. I love how he brightens the show and how great his character is. But the thing is I saw some of your posts shipping him with bakugo. I don't ship him with bakugo though. I like their friendship and all. I think it's the most beautiful progress I have seen in BNHA. Their dynamic pair is good. May I know why you ship them? And please don't hate me.

Reasons to Ship Bakushima

Since you already like their friendship and think they make a good dynamic pair, you probably have a good idea of why people like their relationship. There are a countless number of reasons to ship them and their relationship has so much going for them, so I feel like whatever answer I give won’t be enough. I’ll try my best to answer this. Maybe it’s best if I list some of the main reasons why I ship them.

1. Kirishima is important to Bakugou’s character development.

Early on, he encourages Bakugou to have friends and allies by being a friend and ally to Bakugou himself.

image

Kirishima does such a good job making himself a friend and equal to Bakugou that he becomes the only classmate Bakugou can accept being rescued by without hurting Bakugou’s pride. This is a huge step for Bakugou’s character development because it shows Bakugou can learn how to accept help from someone without his ego being bruised.

The character development Kirishima gives Bakugou helps Bakugou become a better hero by encouraging Bakugou to be a nicer individual and to work with other people.

2. Bakugou CARES about Kirishima.

Usually Bakugou doesn’t give a crap if someone is sad. However, Bakugou has been shown multiple times trying to cheer Kirishima up when Kirishima is sad, which is something he hasn’t done for other classmates. Bakugou cares about someone besides himself, and the classmate Bakugou cares about the most is Kirishima.

Bakugou doesn’t care about people like a hero should. As Bakugou learns to care about Kirishima, he can become capable of caring about other people, further showing how Kirishima helps Bakugou become a better hero.

3. Despite Kirishima admiring Bakugou and wanting to be his friend, Kirishima doesn’t let Bakugou walk all over him.

He’ll tease Bakugou like any friend would, even if Bakugou doesn’t like it.

And he doesn’t let Bakugou get away with shit. He understands Bakugou needs to improve his behavior and will call Bakugou out on his bad behavior.

Kirishima won’t let Bakugou get away with not calling him by his name either. Kirishima not only wants Bakugou to be his friend, he also wants Bakugou to treat him with respect. Kirishima doesn’t want to be Bakugou’s minion. He wants to be his equal.

4. This point goes without saying, but similar to how Bakugou cares about Kirishima, Kirishima REALLY cares about Bakugou.

Kirishima is one of the people who is most worried for Bakugou when Class 1-A hears the villains are after Bakugou.

And despite the dangers for him and his classmates, Kirishima is willing to break the rules to rescue Bakugou because he is one of the students hurt most by Bakugou’s capture.

Kirishima checks to see if Bakugou passed the hero license exam and is worried about Bakugou when he sees Bakugou doesn’t pass.

5. Bakugou respects Kirishima.

Bakugou sees Kirishima as a useful ally because their Quirks work well together and is willing to accept Kirishima into his cavalry battle team as a result. Then during that cavalry battle, he listens to Kirishima when Kirishima tells Bakugou to calm down, and Bakugou even refers to Kirishima by his name, something Bakugou rarely does and only does with people he respects.

Kirishima puts up a good fight against Bakugou during the Sports Festival, showing Bakugou that he’s more than just his hardening Quirk, making Bakugou respect him even more.

Not only does Bakugou respect Kirishima enough to be rescued by him without hurting his pride, but Bakugou remembers words Kirishima told him months later. Kirishima told Bakugou he’d be unshakable during the cavalry battle, and then Bakugou recalls those exact words months later. Bakugou doesn’t remember things unless they’re important. The things Kirishima says have a huge impact on Bakugou.

Furthermore, Bakugou thinks Kirishima is so strong that he states Kirishima can be unbreakable like All Might. Considering how highly Bakugou thinks of All Might, that’s a huge compliment and shows how much Bakugou respects Kirishima’s abilities.

6. Bakugou is good for Kirishima’s character growth.

Kirishima looks up to Bakugou for his unwavering determination and strength and tries to be a strong hero more like Bakugou. When Kirishima expresses how little he thinks of his Quirk and abilities, Bakugou gives Kirishima advice and helps Kirishima create his new super move, Red Riot Unbreakable.

As demonstrated by Red Riot Unbreakable, Bakugou helps give Kirishima conviction and a more unbreakable spirit, making Kirishima more of an unyielding wall, which will improve Kirishima’s hero career. Kirishima wouldn’t be the mighty brute force he is now without Bakugou. In addition, the things Bakugou says improve Kirishima’s confidence. For instance, Red Riot Unbreakable raised Kirishima’s confidence and makes him feel stronger, which is important for Kirishima’s self-esteem. Keep in mind, Bakugou usually says things to hurt and lower other people’s confidence, so it’s very remarkable that the things he says helps Kirishima’s confidence instead.

Although, it’s difficult for Bakugou’s threats and insults to faze Kirishima anyway.

Considering Kirishima’s low self-esteem, Bakugou is an important person who’ll help raise Kirishima’s confidence. In addition, both Bakugou and Kirishima suffer from painful inferiority complexes, with Bakugou’s inferiority complex manifesting into a superiority complex. They can both relate to their issues and help each other.

Overall, Bakugou and Kirishima’s relationship gets lots of development throughout the series. They mean a lot to each other and help their characters grow. They’re arguably best friends. They’re so close that Iida automatically turns to Kirishima when asking about Bakugou’s whereabouts.

I don’t expect this answer to convert you into becoming a Bakushima shipper anon. It’s cool if you don’t ship it. This is a very loaded ask because there’s so much I can say about this. I don’t think this answer does this ship or their relationship justice because I can go on and on about why Bakugou and Kirishima are great for each other and why their relationship is important. If I didn’t list some reasons why I like them, then my answer would get disorganized and incoherent. By the way, thanks for asking this specific question. I’ve never really stated why I like Bakugou and Kirishima’s relationship, and it’s nice to finally get my thoughts out there. Although, I could still say more on the topic.

Part 2

You guys seemed to really like the alien clues post I made a while ago for how Lance is not as okay as he seems (I’ll leave the why’s up to you all but it’s not langst without something so go nuts) so here’s their next hint from an alien species.

Their next clue comes several planets later, after Shiro’s questions from the emotion sensing aliens are long forgotten.

This planet is far less peaceful, in fact the mission was supposed to be for collecting materials they need for the ship and when has anything they needed ever been found on nice friendly planets?

No, this one is home to a specie of aliens that use its prey’s emotions to catch them. Be it extreme fear, anxiety, self hate, despair or any other negative emotions the aliens pick one and force it upon its victim, using visions and thoughts from its own memories to paralyze them.

Naturally the paladin’s come across these monsters and are trapped in their manipulations.

Pidge suffers from heartbreak and loneliness, an amplification of her loss of her family, however she’s somewhat used to these feelings after having had them for over a year. She manages to pull herself out of the visions of her loved ones just enough to see what’s happening with the others.

Hunk was so trapped in fear he couldn’t even move or look anywhere but down, shaking so hard and barely breathing that she’s was worried he’d pass out. All Hunk saw were all the possibilities of death and destruction that he often worried could happen to him and his friends in their line of work.

Shiro, who had collapsed on the ground was caught in despair. Remembering the hopelessness of the arena, the loss of the lives he’d come to know in the cells, and the distress of having to kill another being. All of it newly fresh as the memories crawled back into his mind.

Keith, was curled up on the ground sobbing uncontrollably over memories he’d locked away from his childhood. Reliving the abandonment and misery from his earlier years from when he was too young to understand why his parents weren’t there, did they not love him? Was he not good enough?

And then there was Lance.

Where Pidge and everyone else was unable to push much past the emotional destruction they were facing, Lance was fighting off the creatures.

He was shivering and had a steady stream of tears falling from his eyes which made it hard for him to shoot but he had managed to break out from the paralyzing effects entirely.

Pidge honestly thought it was amazing.

When he’d managed to drive off the last of the monstrous things they all finally felt the wave of emotions begin to drain out. Eventually they were left in that hollow numb feeling from emotional exhaustion and decided that the castle material could wait until they were all stable again.

As they set back to the castle Pidge wondered what Lance had seen from the aliens, and what made it different for him to be able to break through it. She didn’t ask, however, as it was too invasive and seeing as no one else had wanted to volunteer what they saw, including herself, it wouldn’t be fair.

Still, she had a theory it may relate to her own means of pulling through the visions. She wasn’t sure how she felt about that hypothesis as it meant something far deeper than she’d like. She would have to observe Lance to be sure, but now that this was on her radar she would do anything to know.

The creatures knew.

Disappointed in having lost their dinner they went off to find new prey. If only they had picked another emotion. As just like the little girl who was only able to fight the visions of her own misery, if the victim they chose was already resigned to the projected feelings they were able to push forward and escape entirely.

In the end it all just becomes routine to go through the motions after you’ve been struggling long enough.

Okay just a little bit more Langst, but let’s imagine that the crew doesn’t get their first clue that something is wrong with Lance by themselves.

Like what if their first sign comes from a bunch of aliens that they saved.

So, what I’m thinking is it starts off where they have just saved a planet from more Galra, you know run of the mill paladin day stuff. And they’re about to go meet the aliens they’ve protected with the whole diplomacy song and dance.

And this race is all about feeling emotions, which affects how they act around each individual paladin.

With Pidge, who is extremely curious about these guys, she is surrounded by a few of them who are actively excited to show off to her and field all of her questions. They can feel her most predominant emotion coming out of the battle was inquisitive.

Hunk, who came out of that battle pretty banged up, was surrounded by aliens who were trying to help and comfort him as he was feeling tired and uncomfortable.

Keith, who came out of the battle still a bit high on adrenaline, was surrounded by a few aliens trying to calm him down, because even though he doesn’t show it they can feel it and it’s giving them an alien equivalent of a whole body headache.

Shiro, who is talking with the one in charge of the race, sees all of this as the alien explains to him about their emotions adaptation, along side extra information from the two Alteans in the castle. Shiro finds these reactions all fairly typical.

Lance however, who would have been thought to be surrounded by a loud and lively group, is found in a group of aliens that don’t really match Shiro’s expectations.

Lance is found looking a little confused but still smiling as he is surrounded by aliens that can’t seem to stop hugging him and whispering softly with him. No one can hear what they’re saying.

Shiro finds this odd but doesn’t ask the alien in charge about it (again this is only their first hint, they have a long way to go) but he does question Lance later as to what the aliens were doing.

Lance tells him he doesn’t know, that the aliens must have just found him really cuddly, and the matter is dropped.

In truth, the reason the aliens flocked to him to give hugs and support was because they felt a deep emotional hurt radiating off of him that they wanted to soothe away as much as they could. But it felt like such a deep rooted emotion that they weren’t able to do much.

Turns out that this species can’t be fooled with masks like most. After all people still can’t really fool their own feelings.

art tips post

for all the artists following me

  • draw fast. it’ll look messy for a long time but you’ll improve faster than if you spend 4 hours on every drawing
  • if you draw in pencil and have a habit of erasing all of your mistakes, try drawing in pen or marker. i know it’s scary but it’ll help in the long run (i’m speaking from experience)
  • try different methods and mediums but don’t worry about mastering any of them, just have fun
  • if you’re not rich, buy art supplies from the dollar store, not the art store (seriously. i go through a sketchbook about once a month and i’d rather spend $4 on one than $15)
  • there’s no wrong way to learn. you can copy other people’s art if you want to, just don’t post it
  • DO NOT worry about having a consistent style. do not. just draw however you want
  • if you want to make original characters then do it. don’t worry about if they’re original, or a good design, or if they have an accompanying story. make sonic ocs. do it. it’s fun and it’s not hurting anyone
  • try not to kill your back. stand up and stretch once in a while
  • make a folder and save all of your favorite arts for inspiration
  • draw from life. draw your dog. draw your teachers. draw your desk. draw your own hands (seriously that’s the best way to get better at drawing hands)
  • in general, drawing from life or a photo is better than drawing from a diagram
  • draw whatever you want. draw youtubers if you like youtubers. draw undertale if you like undertale. when i was a kid i drew nothing but shadow the hedgehog and horses. everyone deserves to draw what they want without being mocked, and if people start making fun of you, block them and keep drawing
  • don’t expect to get any notes at first. don’t let it discourage you. if you want validation go show your art to your mom or your friends or your teacher or your grandma
  • take breaks, but don’t give up.
