AU where Zuko realises very early into his banishment that he’s been sent on a hopeless goose chase and, actually, he doesn’t want to return to the oppressive Fire Nation and his abusive father. And he sticks with this decision even after Aang wakes up from the iceberg

Except then Aang meets Zuko - probably when Zuko jumps in to save someone, because his sense of justice is too strong to just sit back while someone is hurt, even if he is trying to remain apolitical - and his brain goes “!!!!” Because that’s a good firebender. They do exist. And now Aang knows someone who can teach him firebending without trying to kill him

Except Zuko wants nothing to do with the Avatar. He especially doesn’t want to get entangled with his father’s war. So the rest of the season is about Zuko running from the Avatar, and Aang and co trying to capture the reluctant ex-Prince of the Fire Nation so he can be Aang’s firebending teacher

The obvious solution: Zuko’s naval vessel has been converted into a traveling tea shop.

They convert their naval ship into a floating tea shop oh my god

The Gaang ends up stopping by the tea shop one time not realizing it’s Zuko and Iroh’s ship and spot Zuko but Zuko is like “this is the busiest time of day on our busiest days at one of the busiest ports. I do NOT have time for this.” So he plays dumb. Like really dumb.

The Gaang: It’s Zuko!

Zuko, trying to ignore them: Who’s Zuko?

The Gaang: … You are? You look exactly like him.

Zuko, starts sweating: Nope. I’m Lee. Humble tea server.

The Gaang: Then how you get that scar?

Zuko, sweating more: A wild tea accident. Very bizarre.

Toph, who knows he’s lying but is an agent of chaos: Lee? I remember you! You came to visit my town a few times. Do you still carry that lovely Jasmine tea?

Katara: Toph isn’t your town landlocked?

Toph: Yes, your point?

Katara: This tea shop is a giant naval vessel??

Zuko, panicking: THIS VESSEL CAN FLY

Toph: Yes, exactly.

Sokka: …Katara, let it go. Let’s just get our tea and get out of here before Aang finds out that–

Aang, sprinting over to them: ZUKO?

Toph, without missing a beat: No, this is Lee, humble tea server who got his scar in a wild tea accident.

Aang: What? No it’s not, it’s–

Toph: I can tell when people are lying Aang. Are you calling me a liar?

2020 calendar so far..

Today is honeysuckle removal day. This device is called a Pullerbear. You move the jaws around the base of the plant and use the lever to clench them and draw back. The result is that you strip the bark off the honeysuckle and nothing else fucking happens and you try for an hour and a half and get a grand total of zero plants removed until you have blisters and also the wood breaks.

Please don’t plant bush honeysuckle in the USA because it goes everywhere and you can’t fucking remove it and you’ll make all my counterparts exhausted and miserable.

The sum of my efforts. One measly plant.

New strategy. Equally ineffective.

I’ll record the GPS location and date where I found them and submit them to the park. I don’t know if they’re particularly old but we do find a lot of 1800’s pottery here.

Hour ???:

My one man crusade against the honeysuckle has got the better of me. The sun is hot. The roots are deep. The ground is littered with long thorns from honey locust that stab me continuously. At some point during the struggle the cork from my water bottle came loose and its contents poured out. I have drunk the last drops that remained. An ant in my shirt bit me on the nipple.

I perish now... unless I get up and go inside, but my least favorite coworker is there right now and I do not want to see or be seen by him.

Honey suckle is good they ppl just need to trim it..

There are many species in the honeysuckle genus. They’re not “bad” plants, but depending on the part of the world you live in, certain species are highly invasive. They’re very pretty plants and their flowers smell lovely, but they spread out of control and destroy native ecosystems. That’s why it’s important to remove and avoid cultivating invasive species as ornamental plants, and instead opt for native varieties. Because the berries of invasive varieties are attractive to birds (but low in nutrients), one invasive honeysuckle in your yard--even if you trim it--means a thousand invasive honeysuckles in places other than your yard, spread by bird droppings. We didn’t intentionally plant any honeysuckle here at the park, but it’s taking over the forest.

Where I live (Midwestern USA), a great alternative to Asian bush honeysuckles is the trumpet honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens), which is a vine with fragrant pink-orange flowers, or Diervilla lonicera, which is a smaller shrub.

PLOT FUCKING TWIST

Also part of the “pedophile” smear campaign included:

1. He has tags for not quite safe for work selfies on his blog (#nsfw and #tsbutt) (not nudes or even lewds, just pictures including his clothed butt.)

2. He accepts nsfw fanart from fans, but ONLY if the artist is 18+

3. There was ONE time where an underage artist submitted a nsfw art piece and Thomas posted it, because said artist removed their age from their bio, so Thomas had no idea it was made by a minor. He deleted the post as soon as this information came to light.

But exclusionists took all of this, mashed it with their “oh but he’s so childish, he acts like a kid even though he’s nearly 30, he must be hiding something!” And ran so far with it that Thomas Sanders severely suffered for it. Even his fans got shit for liking him. A lot abandoned him out of fear that a similar campaign would start against them.

So yeah. Fuck exclusionists, honestly.

He got smeared for videos he made With high schoolers as well, high schoolers from a drama club from his old high school, whom he was asked back to help out by his own teachers. Which is commonplace, and not sketchy in the slightest. He made wholesome, age-appropriate content and STILL got “cancelled” because exclusionists can’t handle it when good queer people who don’t share their dumb views are successful.
