When I say I want to read the book before seeing the movie, I don’t want brownie points or bragging rights. I want to be able to read the book with my imagined world and idea of the characters without the movie’s influence at least once. After you see the movie there’s always some part of it that sticks in your head for a long time and you lose the enjoyment of making it up yourself.

I'm not actually a huge fireworks person so this is not really my holiday.
#I like photography though#So I brought my camera to the thing I'm at#But I need a tripod to take the pictures I want#And it shouldn't be a problem cuz my dad has one#But it is because he lent it to someone#And that someone is at this thing so again it shouldn't be a problem because he lives nearby#But I guess his wife moved it so now it's not in his car#And I guess we're not going to go get it#So I'm just sitting inside feeling vaguely useless#Ugh.#It was gonna be such a cool picture#I was gonna have someone make a heart with a sparkler while I put the camera on a long exposure#It would have looked so cool#Whatever#I've only been waiting months to do that#And now I can't#Sigh
