Some living space rearranging today

I'm feeling myself slipping back into worst case scenario imaginings, which is a fast track to hopelessness. Plus the fact I'm feeling pain again more often ( which could just be due to more activity), and that I haven't heard anything about my disability claim yet. That last one is partly due to the fact that the Dr office didn't send it until late; it took me calling them on the 13th to check up on them! It shouldn't be on me to be checking on things that should be taken care of.

And it's my bday; I don't want to feel like this on my bday

I still tire fairly easily. It's almost been 6 weeks but I'm suspecting if I go back to work it'll need to be scaled down for awhile yet. I'm doing all my exercises, walking, making my own meals, and doing housekeeping tasks every day. In fact, my apartment looks 100 percent better than it did 4 weeks ago. Still needs work, but I barely recognize it and I'm so proud of myself

I've had my hip replacement surgery! I spent afterwards at a friend's house for a little over a week, and now am back home with my kitties whom I hadn't seen since my surgery. Just had my followup appointment on Friday, and doc is very happy with my progress.

I'm on full disability for another 4 weeks, during which time I cannot drive (ugh). Here's to continued progress.

So I am having hip replacement surgery next week. I have severe arthritis, and if I *dont* get it, the bone will continue to grind against bone, which...is not a good thing.

I have medical insurance. I have a 3,000 deductible, and an out of pocket maximum of $6250. So, even with insurance, my payment will be 6250. Which, of course, I don't have.

So the hospital requires I either pay 40 percent of that cost *before* the surgery....which i also dont have...or I'm on a payment plan of 227 dollars PER MONTH for 23 months.

I have no choice but to go with the payment plan. Which i also, in reality, can't afford.

Everyone was telling me not to worry about payment beforehand, because they'll just bill the insurance company and then I'd receive a bill afterwards. I guess that's not how it works?

No idea if anyone will see this,but please send positive vibes or whatever you do. I have it in my head that I'm going to lose my job, on the cusp of finally getting my much needed surgery. Have no idea if any of it is based on reality or not

At long last. I have a preop appointment next week for hip replacement, then surgery sometime in January. Hope it relieves a lot of my discomfort.
