There are countries that have banned Mockingjay for fear their people will finally rise up against them and start their own revolutions. There are people in Thailand that have been arrested for doing the three fingered salute.

If you still think these books about people standing up to their governments are just fads for teenagers you are blind and mistaken.

Do ppl in the acting business need to be pretty and stuff? I want to be an actor but I thy j I'm not how I should look

I actually find it upsetting that people have to be 'pretty' or whatever for the acting industry. Personally, I think it ought to be talent more than anything obviously. But the industry is unfair and harsh so unfortunately I do agree with the idea that 'prettier' (or our generations idea of prettier) people are the majority in acting. But there are tonnes of actors and actresses that aren't exactly how the media says they should look and they've made it just fine. For example Kevin Spacey is debatably an unlikely actor because of the fact that he's not ripped with blonde hair, sun kissed skin and dreamy eyes, but he's amazing! You don't need to look like a model to be an actress. ✅✅✅

Girl, Interrupted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

'Girl, Interrupted' is an oscar winning (Angelina Jolie - Best Supporting Actress) film that focuses around a group of female characters of varied ages, sexuality and mental illnesses in a mental home. The leading actress, Winona Ryder, plays a young girl who is in denial of her 'condition' after having downed a large amount of painkillers and vodka, although she's convinced this wasn't a suicide attempt. In the hospital, she makes friends with the girls and soon becomes entrapped in a strange friendship with Lisa (Angelina). The acting was strong and very convincing and the characters were entertaining to watch because they were really well defined but all difference in their own way. A must see for most teens, especially if you are in recovery as it has a positive and comforting ending....✨✨✨✨

Shakespeare In Love Review

I recently saw 'Shakespeare In Love', the fairly new play based on the film starring Gwyneth Paltrow. I thought it was brilliant, and although a little long, it was directed really well and the way Shakespeare was played was excellent. It literally had everything in it: even a bit with a dog. It was filled with romance, comedy, a murder, lies and deceit, danger, sadness and so much more. The actress playing the lead role wasn't as good as I expected however, but THAT SHOULD NOT PUT YOU OFF SEEING THE PLAY. She was just a little repetitive with her line delivery and didn't really vary her tone of voice so everything she said sounded quite similar. She was a fab actress, don't get me wrong, but I couldn't really get as absorbed in her performance as I did in the leading actors. Also the actor playing Shakespeare takes his shirt off several times so that was nice.

If you want to start doing some casual acting that isn't serious, just for fun what should I do? Because I have looked @ some places but its all v. serious? e.g. Stagecoach

I've had lots of messages a bit like this.

My advice would be perhaps some Arts Ed weekend classes (assuming you live in London) I did some one holiday and they were great, and you don't do a big show at the end, just some understated demonstration on what you've been working on. Find out if your school has a drama club too!

Recently I've been getting asked about the nude photos leaks and how I'm feeling about them (e.g. Jennifer Lawrence's)

Firstly, I do not have any opinion on the actual photos. They are none of my business. They were a harsh and unnecessary invasion of privacy and I can't help but imagine these wonderfully talented people such as Lawrence are just making some people feel threatened because they have a beautiful career and are strong women. I think that is the only reason this has happened to the people in the industry.
