“Huh?” Aomine raised an eyebrow with mild surprise at you, thesmall girl standing next to Sakurai who as apparently dating the shooting guard.He wasn’t really sure how stuttering and timid Sakurai managed to find agirlfriend, but honestly he didn’t concern with it that much and just lookedyou up and down with disinterest. “Not really my type, but whatever you’reinto, Sakurai,” he deadpanned before lying sprawled on his back again andyawning widely. Closing his eyes, he clearly gave off the signal that he wantedto be left alone to his nap again.
Momoi gasped loudly, covering her mouth with her hands, wideeyes darting from you to Sakurai and then back to you. Letting out at littlesqueal, she promptly pulled you and your boyfriend into a crushing hug, jumpingup and down excitedly once in a while. “I’m so proud, Sakurai-kun!” she said,patting your heads fondly while you both flailed your arms uselessly trying toget out of her grip. “__________-chan is just so adorable! Take care of eachother, okay?”
Imayoshi looked at you curiously for a moment, tilting hishead a little to one side before offering a smile that made your blood runcold, “It’s nice to meet you, __________-chan. I hope you’ll be good to ourSakurai-kun here.”
A very pale Sakurai leaned toward Imayoshi and did his bestto whisper discreetly, “Captain, please d-don’t smile like that! You’re scaring_-__________-chan…”
“Hmm?” the point guard appeared genuinely confused, “Whateverdo you mean?”
Everything Wakamatsu thought was real had shattered themoment he happened to see you and Sakurai kissing outside of the gym, and for thefirst time he got smacked with the fact that Sakurai had a girlfriend. Withhis manly pride broken in pieces and his mind blurred from coming acrosssomething so unexpected, Wakamatsu walked back into the gym like a zombie.
“What’s the matter with you?” Aomine snorted when theypassed each other, a dark cloud of sulk hovering over the blonde’s head.
To the ace’s alarm, Wakamatsu just gazed at him with eyeslike a dead fish and answered quietly, “You know you’re doomed when even Sakurai finds a girl before you do.”
You were honestly frightened as one of the largest players onthe team approached you and reached out one of his enormous hands. Shrinkingback slightly, you expected him to be rough, but instead his giant palm rested reassuringon your head. When you looked up at him with bright eyes full of surprise, hesmiled back gently.
“It’s good to know Sakurai has a special person now. I hopeyou find happiness with one another. Congratulations, both of you.”
“S-Susa-san!” Sakurai yelped, his face flushing, “You-youdon’t have to talk like that… I-It’s not like we announced we’re getting m-marriedright now or anything!”
