i know this sounds paranoid but seriously monetization of previously free websites that rely on individuals to create content (and not things like ad revenue) is one of the fastest ways to kill a website

Besides the White House SCOTUS event, these people have been at GOP donor events, the Hill GOP meeting with Amy Coney Barrett, a GOP senator lunch, etc. It’s expected that more will test positive. 

Note that the two senators, Lee and Tillis, BOTH serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee so an Amy Coney Barrett pre-election confirmation is looking less likely to happen.

ALSO! Chris Wallace let it slip that Trump and his team arrived late on the day of the debate and they skipped the COVID tests. Instead they went off the “honor system.” Biden has already tested negative. But if Trump’s administration is acting this flippant over COVID safety measures (which I guarantee they are, especially as this incident indicates) then it’s VERY likely more will get sick… especially since they were hanging out like this.

Not to mention the normalization of 12, 16, and 24 hour shifts in the medical field, as well as there being no legal recourse to refuse being mandated to stay beyond 24 hours when you don't have relief.

This is true for the veterinary side too. Plus there’s the fact that after those 12,16, and 24 hour shifts there’s no way you’re at your best. You make mistakes. You miss things. It’s not good for doctors, and it’s not good for patients.

Her name was  Marissa Blacklance. #Dakota38 rider, & front line water protector at Standing Rock. She was killed by a drunk driver in January of 2018.  Her mother is using this tragedy to make changes benefitting our community with the Yellow Scarf tribute.

If you’re European, in a couple of weeks you will be denied any and all access to fandom contents on Tumblr and everywhere else on the internet. Here’s why.

On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.

Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.

But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.

What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.

As a Romanian, the teenagers in my country are freaking out over this. The last time I watched the news, our government was still arguing about choosing a new representant in the Parliament and no one was addressing Article 13.
