Every pixel on earth sorted by hue and brightness over the course of a year.

This is DNA, my tumblr driven data artwork. I scraped every post from the specified blog and grabbed the post type. Then used a processing library to draw a circle for every post. Each circle is then filled with a Color that is chosen by the type of post it is.(white is photo, red is answers, green is text, blue is video, yellow is audio). Many of these blogs have over 20,000 posts. Which allows the program to show the wildly elaborate, connections that make up a blog. I was inspired by the biological process of D.N.A. sequencing. I was extremely satisfied with how it turned out!

I hope to work on this program to allow for other social media sites.
Congrats! Fantastic work, Alex.
This is why I teach...
A little stuck on this concept... #sketch ed 7 more of these this weekend...
Jamming on recursion. My losses looked better than my wins.
Avocado
A quick experiment where I tried to get processing to algorithmic-ally create a single visual from several different views (photos) not unlike what a cubist would do. I took it down, readjusted the color, and reposted.
Remember the time I attempted to use processing to compile the essence of an avocado from four photos? Of course you don't...
Procedural cartoon eyes generated from simple shapes and parameters in processing.

Sorry friends. No generative art this week. Only bad jokes.
