Hello lovelies!  Join us for Classic Who Mondays, starting, of course with the First Doctor!  Over the next ten weeks, we’ll be watching a selection of the First Doctor’s must-see serials, ending on Monday, September 11.  If you’re new to Classic Who, this will be a great way to start, and if you’ve seen it all before, this will be a chance to watch some old favorites with newbies and old fans alike.

First up is An Unearthly Child, where it all began:

Definite must see! This is the story that started it all. We meet the whole gang for the first time, discover why the Tardis looks like a police box and like the best trash fandom it starts off as a curiosity in a junkyard. Colin Baker caught this when it first aired and said he’d just come home and was so fascinated by the first episode that he didn’t even sit down until it was over.  –description via @naughtylupine, whose Classic Who help has been invaluable
Runtime: 1 hour, 40 minutes

This group watch is scheduled for Monday, July 10, at 8:00pm CDT.

This is going to be the most low key viewing party ever: come each week or just when you can make it; arrive late or leave early.  There’s no need to worry about missing plot points if you can’t stay the whole time or don’t come every week; if you ever want to know what you’ve missed or during the serials that we skipped over, recaps are easily available, and other group watchers can fill you in as well.

If you are interested in joining us, send an ask or an IM to  @dwgroupwatch or to @fleurdeneuf, who will be hosting the viewing on Rabbit, and will send you the link to the viewing via IM approximately 30 minutes before showtime.  Please be sure to specify whether you only want to come this week, or whether you want to subscribe to the whole First Doctor group watch series.

Hardly ever the Doctor gave into sleeping. And hardly ever Rose went inside his room. But after an impossible planet and an impossible god, something rather unlikely happening wasn’t all that out there.

Will most probably color it later on. I just wanted celebrate that I did this with hardly any reference for their faces and THAT’S A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT AHHHHHHSDFKHSJKDF According to my own understanding they don’t kiss inside the series other than the times we’ve seen them kiss but FUCK IT it’s a fanart. Also the Doktah being in bed instead, putting him in the more vulnerable position, haha, can’t resist that.

Sometimes he had nightmares.  He would cry out from his dreams, at times in tongues she couldn’t understand.  He would thrash, he would tremble, and his voice would choke.  Occasionally, he would weep, his sobs rocking his slim frame, erupting from deep within.  She was always there to draw him near, his arms clinging to her body as though he might just slip away forever if he had nothing to which he could take hold.  She stroked his hair and kissed his brow, never thinking him weak or less than what he was; only now, he was human, and no longer had to hide the sorrows that haunted him.  He didn’t have to face them alone.

I love showering! But really, after a long day a hot or cold shower is the best. I feel so happy and clean and refreshed and also smelling so good afterwards.

And that’s why

“Found & Forgotten” - Digital Oil Painting

Inspired by @whoinwhoville ‘s story Found and Forgotten, set in the 1960s. It’s a really awesome series with great historical research put into it. I wanted to paint Jane (aka Rose, she’s fob watched) when she gets her hair done “like a poodle” to emulate Brigitte Bardot. I really like how it turned out!

If you enjoy my art, please consider subscribing to my Patreon! I am saving to buy a wheelchair lift and new battery.
