You know as a POC, sometimes you toxic fans go too far. 

You guys are quick to assume and then attack actors/actresses for making a mistake and make them feel bad about themselves. Today, Dom Sherwood said he wanted to be in the movie Nightwing. Fans are quick to assume that he wanted to play a role of a POC, Nightwing. He is Romani and Dom isn’t. Fans started attacking him and insulting him and bullying him and so on. 

This is all he said “Cough”. Nightwing is his favorite superhero. THAT IS ALL. He was basically “fangirling”. Don’t we all fangirl??? Don’t we all want to play a character on a tv show or movie? I mean, we all want to be Izzy Lightwood or Clary Fray, doesn’t mean we will be lol! His favorite Superhero is Nightwing. It does not mean he will necessarily play or audition for Nightwing.

Tweets get misinterpreted. I hope you all know that. Yall are quick to assume and insult, bully, and attack and so on. It’s just mean. One day, the Shadowhunters cast will stop coming on social media. and it will be all of your fault and I hope you are happy.

Us human beings; we make mistakes, doesn’t mean we deserve to get attacked and bullied.

There is a difference between educating and attacking a person.

This whole “trust Tumblr blindly” thing is eventually going to kill someone, as I became pointedly aware of on one occasion I was making fun of how poorly a particular bleach-based drain declogger was working on my sink and got a chorus of really dangerously misinformed people telling me to pour vinegar in after it because all cute little cool kid diy home care blogs they’re following talk about vinegar like it it’s the big secret the cleaning companies don’t want you to know.

And I cringed knowing that someday, some Well Actually expert who read a blog article once is going to give that advice to someone who unfortunately didn’t take high school chemistry and isn’t aware that MIXING VINEGAR AND BLEACH MAKES CHLORINE GAS.
