Crystal Countdown
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal Season III is returning, the first episode premiering on TV on April 4th! To celebrate the continuation of the 20th Anniversary Project, we’re doing a countdown for the Death Busters arc!
Now, unlike two years ago with the original Crystal countdown, we sadly can’t do a whole 30 day countdown, we don’t have the time for it. This time, the countdown will be just 7 days long, staring on March 28th.
Does this mean that the countdown will only allow seven people in total to join? No, if enough people wish to participate, we can have multiple for each day (especially because having back up artists is always a good idea), but first we do need at least seven people to join the fun.
Rules
The only rules for the countdown are that your submission mustn’t be hateful towards anyone, if it’s done traditionally you must scan it (photos of drawings are not accepted), it must be submitted on time, and if you become unable to do your submission on time, you must inform us immidiately so that we can get a back up (if one didn’t exist already).
We will tell you what characters you’ll draw for what day (more on that below), so the only requirements there are that you draw the requested characters and include “X Days Left!” somewhere on the picture. If you want examples of what I mean, go check out the original countdown!
How to Join
Send us an ask, we’ll assign you a day, and boom, done! As you can see from the list below, when you know what day you have, you’ll also know what you’re going to be drawing for the countdown. Of course, if there are any particular characters on the list you want to draw, ask about them, if that day is still open, we can let you have the day!
March 28 (Mon) - Mars & Mercury
March 29 (Tue) - Venus & Jupiter
March 30 (Wed) - Pluto
March 31 (Thu) - Uranus
April 1 (Fri) - Neptune
April 2 (Sat) - Saturn
April 3 (Sun) - Super Sailor Moon + Chibi Moon
How to submit your piece
We’re following more or less the same rules as last year.
After drawing your piece, upload it on Tumblr as a photopost. Give it whatever title you want, just start the post with it and your username. It would be fantastic if you could include a note from yourself about your excitement for Crystal Season III. Feel free to include links to where you and your art can also be found, links to your commission info or Patreon, whatever you wish! Again, if you need examples on what your post should look like, check out the old countdown!
After that, please tag the picture with SM Crystal Countdown, and schedule it to be posted in UTC +0, at 12 o’clock (noon) on the day your picture is meant to be posted. I’m asking you to use that tag and check your timezone for this so that I can find your submission easily and won’t have to wait until past midnight to be able to reblog it here.
