dance first. think later.

Jacob asks for the porcini risotto and then turns to me. "And actually I wrote a song for you, too," he says. Immediately, I can feel myself flushing, and I look down. I've always wanted someone to write a song for me... "What's it called?" And now it's Jacob's turn to flush. "'Girl in a Tutu,'" he says. -- Bunheads, by Sophie Flack, page 119. Hi, I do aerial dance, but i want to practice ballet. It will be difficult for me? I'm afraid but i really want to learn ballet.

I think you'll be fine. :) Ballet is for everyone, and I can definitely see it benefitting your training in aerial dance by a tenfold. Go for it!

omg i love bunheads. best book ever. it also made me kind of sad though when she quit MB because she seemed so talented, and at the beginning of the book she was so passionate and she lost that.

Yeah, seriously. It had such a bittersweet ending but in the end, I think it was the one best for her. She craved (and honestly needed) a life/ healthier existence than the one she constantly lived at the MB, so while I was kind of sad at the end too, it was kind relieving as well. :)
