Sorry if you've been asked this before (I just found this blog), but how do you guys come up with the builds? Does it just happens as you go or do you have some sort of idea of how things are gonna go before? I've always wanted to build something really extensive in MC, but I don't think I can. Keep up the great work!
Alex:I like to have a general or rough Idea about what it is I am going to build and then just start throwing blocks down until it starts to take shape. One key rule I live by is try to make sure your build isn’t symmetrical.Chris:I never really plan the builds. I agree with Alex that throwing blocks down until something takes shape is a pretty good way of going about things. It is always good to start with a general idea of what you want to build but if you don’t have a concrete idea of what your end goal is for a project, it allows your ideas to evolve as you progress. With Minecraft, having a solid plan of what you want to build can sometimes hold back your creativity.

Hi, the Mountain Project world be available eventually. Since 2016 I have been travelling, met an american and moved to america to get married. Two weeks ago I bought a new PC for the first time since 2016 and yesterday the Power Supply fried. I now have another new PC and I want to finish posting all builds from the map before releasing it, I imagine I could get the map out sometime in 2019 if I’m not lazy about it.Also I want to add some minor interactivity additions, like a small storyline for example.Thanks for the question!

In the past I have used Chocapic 13, however more recently I have been using Sildurs Vibrant Shaders.

Yes, I am currently working on finishing screenshots and updating the map. It was built in 1.6 and has just been updated to 1.12. There is no ETA on when it will be released as of yet.

damn, ive been following this account forever. do you guys still work on that mountain project?
We finished it! I’ve had a very busy life since the start of 2016 but I’m finally getting a new PC in the next couple of weeks.Alex finished the mountain project almost solo and yes, it is finished. I will be working on new screenshots of the rest of the builds we added to the world very soon, I am very excited to get both this blog and Minescapes active again!

We’ve never really thought about making blueprints. We have a few tutorials on the blog posted a few years ago that are the closest thing we have done to blueprints. Thank you for that excellent question.

Thanks for the kind message, we put a lot of work into getting the little details of our builds perfect and the screenshots up to a high standard so it’s nice to get messages like this.
