What I think the writers meant
For the life of me why is everyone tripping over the GMW writer's tweets. The writers are telling us something. And they are RIGHT. Wrong decisions LED TO THE EVENTS in ski lodge and the characters realized that. They had to fix IT. 1. maya losing herself to become Riley so she could protect Riley. Noble. And I love maya for it. But this is never good. Sacrificing who you are to ensure another's happiness is never OK. Compromise is always alright, but never lose you. This was a bad decision. It cost Maya herself and caused conflict with the one person she loves more than anything, Riley. 2. Riley stepping aside and not voicing her feelings was a bad decision. Riley was HURT. But she never let on how much. The reason why Riley spent the whole night talking to Evan was b/c she COULD. She hadn't been able to have an in depth convo with anyone (besides Farkle)since this traingle started. Honesty is the key to any relationship 3. Lucas. 🙄. It took another boy for him to realize 1) conversation matters to him; and 2) the smoothie thing was a huge THING. He should've stepped back A LONG time ago and really evaluated his feelings for both girls. BAD DECISION. What's important: TALKING TO EACH OTHER. Whether you are in a romantic relationship or a platonic one, talking is always important. Conversation was the theme of GMW ski lodge 2. It started with Evan & Riley. Ended with Maya and Riley. WHY?!!! B/C regardless of ships, Maya and Riley's relationship is always what's most important. This is because they have always been able TO TALK OPENLY WITH ONE ANOTHER. Something which was lost during the whole triangle SL b/c everyone was trying to spare each other's feelings. BAD DECISION. This decision cost Maya and Riley something very important in their relationship: their ability to COMMUNICATE OPENLY with each other. NOW, I do ship Rucas but it really doesn't matter to me who is ENDGAME. As long as Maya and Riley are. What attracted me to this show was Maya and Riley's relationship, which IMO is just as sweet as Cory's and Shawn' s. #girlmeetsworld #skilodge #gmw
