I'm just salty I had to delete the older version of this after the Tumblr Purge, because it was "lewd" (I don't think it really was) because I still really like it, so here's this and what I can safely show of the older one
Plagg Fhtagn, Or The Trouble With Homophones (Miraculous Ladybug)
In His Chosen's bag in Paris, great Plagg waits dreaming.
Unbound by the shackles of paltry time, content to lie, He awaits His moment to rise, and ponders beyond the ponderable. So grand is the scale of His thought, rumination upon the infinitesimal protracted to fill universes, that mortal comprehension could strain to capture but a fragment. The mind twitches, shudders; in tremulous tones a once-brave soul may describe the barest outlines of what he has witnessed. A murmur in a dark corner mentions decay and death carefully curated, of nourishment given over to ritual sacrifice by slow, wasting disease.
Limburger, they whisper, and despair.
no excuses writing meme, askbox version
(Nicked from iambickilometer):
drop one of these bad boys in my askbox and i will post, without editing
- FIRST — the first two sentences of my current project
- LAST — the most recently written two sentences of my current project
- NEXT — the next line. meaning i will finish the sentence I’m on and write a new one, which you’ll get.
- [insert prompt here] — you post a prompt, and i’ll write three sentences based on that prompt, set in the same time/setting as my current project
- THE END — i’ll make up an ending, or post the ending if i’ve written it
- BEFORE THE BEGINNING — three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project
- POV — something that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective
Faulty (ML Angst Week Day 2)
*Rises from the mostly-dead just long enough to post this and become mostly-dead all over again.*
WARNINGS: this contains a blend of some of the most insidious varieties of abuse and manipulation.
Nooroo was ripped from the brooch with a flash of light and a scream of purest agony. He'd used it. Master had promised he would never use it again unless Nooroo forced him to, but he'd done it anyway despite Nooroo's compliance. The Dark Incantation had been invoked once more, malevolent magic binding Nooroo to perform duties he'd already agreed to do of his own free will.
I never really got why scaling the fucking wall was okay among the Orlesian nobles. Ehh, maybe its normal courtesy among them I don’t know. But they will disapprove of you being gone for few minutes
I just had a daydream that all content creators in the miraculous ladybug fandom actually all live in an apartment building in Paris and @tides-miraculous was my neighbor.
everybody who makes stuff for the fandom whether its stories or posts or art or whatever, reblog this with what your apartment looks like and what floor you live on and stuff. it’s a fifteen floor apartment building I live on the tenth floor. My house is made up of green color scales and dark wood furniture and has an excess of questionably healthy food and video games.
I live on the fourth floor, a little high up up but close enough to the ground for me to comfortably people watch in the morning while having coffee. My apartment is mostly grey, mint green, and light blue with pops of saturated colors. My walls mostly consist of shelving for books, videos games, movies, and things I’ve collected. My favorite room is the kitchen and I often invite the other tenants for dinner. My house is filled with mason jars of all sorts of colors and sizes all for different uses. Candle holders, terrariums, containers, cups. I love them okay.
I also have a black and orange goldfish named Tiger.
I live on the 4th floor! It’s a three bedroom and I use one of them as an office. The house has a lot of natural colors (greens, browns) and there are no less than 3 plants per room and probably 5 next to my sewing machine/fabric pile(ironically I live up to my initials LB). I have a black labrador named Kendall and I leave a huge batch of baked goodies in the lobby at least once a week because I can’t control myself when I get my hands on some flour.
hmm, 11th floor, north side. With a balcony. Balcony has many pots of dirt because I kill everything I touch. Neutral furnishings. Open plan. You never see me.
I'm the random guy who's always crashed out on a different couch each night but brings snacks so no one's asked me to leave yet.
why not both?
Kry’s Original Novel Update:
So, I know there’s a bunch of people waiting for news on Shift.
Having been rejected from the last viable publisher in Australia (sobcomplainwhinegetoverit), I have decided that I just want this damn thing out there so you guys who have been waiting years can read. I am going to self-publish. Most likely through Smashwords.
What this does mean, though, is instead of money being taken from potential earnings, I need to drop a wad of cashy-money on this to get it ready for self-publishing. There’s a professional edit required, a cover commission and fees and charges (and an American tax file exemption process I need to do).
I am already having minor panic attacks and regretting everything going through this process. Having been rejected so many times really bashes at an ego.
For those of you who joined this journey since Miraculous Ladybug, a little information for you:
Shift was written before Miraculous Ladybug started. As it happens, my writing style changes the more I write and it’s my belief (and I am my own worst enemy), that Shift is not as good as what I’ve done recently. It’s also been written to be marketable so there’s absolutely no filler scene whatsoever.
But as it’s already been re-written three times and Shift is good, and I am so proud of myself and it, I’m not going to re-write it again. Book two of the series (tentatively called ‘Twist’) will be better (and written the way I want to tell the story, screw the marketability).
I am going to release the first chapter to you in a couple of weeks most likely, to tease and taste and all that.
But what I need right now, is definite numbers. If I’m going to do this as professionally as I can, I really want to know for sure how many people are definitely going to buy the story. I’m probably going to charge about $5 for the novel, which means, to break even, I need at least 200 of you to say ‘yes’ and then actually do it.
So please, hit me with a like or a reblog if you will definitely by my book.
Here’s a tentative blurb:
Some TED talks that will change your life.
How to make stress your friend by Katie McGonial (14.5 minutes)
“Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others.”
8 secrets of success by Richard St.John (3.5 minutes)
Why do people succeed? Is it because they’re smart? Or are they just lucky? Neither. Analyst Richard St. John condenses years of interviews into an unmissable 3-minute slideshow on the real secrets of success.
A simple way to break a bad habit by Judson Brewer (9.5 minutes)
Can we break bad habits by being more curious about them? Psychiatrist Judson Brewer studies the relationship between mindfulness and addiction — from smoking to overeating to all those other things we do even though we know they’re bad for us. Learn more about the mechanism of habit development and discover a simple but profound tactic that might help you beat your next urge to smoke, snack or check a text while driving.
Don’t regret regret by Kathryn Schulz (17 minutes)
We’re taught to try to live life without regret. But why? Using her own tattoo as an example, Kathryn Schulz makes a powerful and moving case for embracing our regrets.
How to make hard choices by Ruth Chang (14.5 minutes)
Here’s a talk that could literally change your life. Which career should I pursue? Should I break up — or get married?! Where should I live? Big decisions like these can be agonizingly difficult. But that’s because we think about them the wrong way, says philosopher Ruth Chang. She offers a powerful new framework for shaping who we truly are.
The danger of silence by Clint Smith (4 minutes)
We spend so much time listening to the things people are saying that we rarely pay attention to the things they don’t,“ says poet and teacher Clint Smith. A short, powerful piece from the heart, about finding the courage to speak up against ignorance and injustice.
Have you ever felt like you’re talking, but nobody is listening? Here’s Julian Treasure to help. In this useful talk, the sound expert demonstrates the how-to’s of powerful speaking — from some handy vocal exercises to tips on how to speak with empathy. A talk that might help the world sound more beautiful.
Your body language shapes who you are by Amy Cuddy (21 minutes)
Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing” — standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident — can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success.
The happy secret to better work by Shawn Anchor (12 minutes)
We believe we should work hard in order to be happy, but could we be thinking about things backwards? In this fast-moving and very funny talk, psychologist Shawn Achor argues that, actually, happiness inspires us to be more productive.
A call to men by Tony Porter (11 minutes) [TW: graphic desc. of rape]
At TEDWomen, Tony Porter makes a call to men everywhere: Don’t “act like a man.” Telling powerful stories from his own life, he shows how this mentality, drummed into so many men and boys, can lead men to disrespect, mistreat and abuse women and each other. His solution: Break free of the “man box.”
I had to post this whole thread because this is the definition of a wholesome post. 😭😂💕🔑
This makes me happy.

BBRAE fandom-we need to talk
I am not upset with all of you, just people like this. I know it’s been so long since I’ve updated THIS comic, But the main reason behind it has been because of
A.) People like above, and People like this:
B.) Because of ART THEFT within this community:
and C.) I am unmotivated and depressed within this fandom. And it’s NOT HARD TO SEE WHY.
Why create anything anymore when I have to put big fat ugly watermarks on my images and still have them stolen by everyone with a facebook page or instagram account? Why draw anything when people are just going to demand me draw what they want when they want for their own benefit but not give a damn about me and my personal life? Why draw anything when I am not going to get thousands of shares or likes? (I am not wanting to be famous here, I just want publicity because I am in need of commissions to help me money-wise.)
BBRAE fandom. Why do you do this to me..I love the ship so much but it’s so sad I’ve been backed into a corner like this. Not each and every one of you is like this…But most of you are. And that saddens me.
Dear fellow fans you need to understand when you are toxic to your own fandom. Fan artists and writers are real people who do what they do out of love and on their own time when inspiration strikes. It pisses me off to see this happen to @shock777 and @kasumychan why do you all think @xaphrin is on a hiatus? As fans we are NOT entitled to art or stories especially when someone else gives them freely. Don’t be a dick seriously these are real people with real feelings and real lives and often real bills, you want something? Try paying for a commission and always respect the artists and writers. People who contribute to fandoms are wonderful do not treat them like empty vending machines that stole your dollar. Because they aren’t. If you think you can do it better than put up or stfu. Seriously toxic fans kill fandoms. @shadowjack12345 cause hey your stories always make me smile thanks man keep writing whatever you feel I’m always up for reading :) @pinkuchama cause hey you’re cool why not? :) @megs-ils cause you also rock. :) Fandom contributor appreciation post here people!
It’s not a coincidence that I’ve avoided posting bbrae since 2013. Just sayin’.
Also irritated a f at the treatment of Shock and Xaph (among others). Shame on you ingrates for eating your own!
For @encontrasuya because reasons 8)
*incoherent screeching*
Ahh i spent way longer on this than i feel like i should have and now that im posting it im kind of nervous.
idk i just feel like kurt is Anxious and Doing His Best and logan is like somewhere between a stereotypical action hero and someones frightening dad and i appreciate their relationship in comics but i feel like its never rly developed as much as it could be.
i think i still have a ways to go in terms of doing page layouts but i tried some new stuff
