“You’re right.” Callie rubbed her head against her cousin’s shoulder playfully, like a cat, and giggled softly. “I can’t even make any jokes about how we don’t get paid enough!”

Marie grinned at the other star’s affectionate gesture.  “Yeah...at least we don’t have to worry about being out of work anytime soon.”

“Don’tcha wish we could just rest for today, Marie?” She rest her head on Marie’s shoulder, dramatically sighing.

“More than you know,” she replied, patting Callie’s head lightly.  “But as much as I’d like a break with Splatfest over, the turf wars never stop, so we have to keep going too.”

Callie was yet to pick her cup up, only staring down into the delicious tea and breathing in the sweet steam. She always liked her tea sweet with honey. Cal nodded in agreement to her sister, “Yeah, I would think so… I’m just so sleepy from all the boredom, honestly!”

The green-clad sister watched Callie as she stared down into the teacup, a light smile on her face.  She personally preferred lemon in her tea, and, naturally, the other had prepared her cup as such. “Well, better hope you’re wide awake for later,” she commented.  “We’ve still got a news show coming up!”

Patting her back gently, after pulling away from the hug Callie settled down and sat at the table behind them, tucking her tendrils for hair behind the chair. She patted the table to gesture for Marie to sit with her for some tea. “My day was slow, but good! And yours?”

Marie joined the other at the table, grabbing her teacup and sitting a bit more upright than normal.  It was probably just because of that cup, but it did help her seem more attentive- not that she wasn’t normally, of course.  It was just a matter of appearance.  “About the same, really.  With everything that’s been going on lately, you’d think the day would go faster from all the excitement...”

“Sis!”

Callie reached her arms out for a hug as she stepped closer to Marie, smiling widely as she did. Her beloved quiet, green-loving sibling is someone she is always happy to talk to, Callie considered herself to be very close to her.

While she didn’t smile quite as much as her more upbeat sister did, seeing the other offer her a hug quite easily got one out of her.  She stepped forward and reached out as well, accepting the hug and giving it back in return.  Just as Callie did, Marie also felt she was close to her...even if she did act a bit snarky toward the pinker of the duo at times.
