I'm sure you get this a shit ton but what art programs do you use? Do you use the same for lines as you do coloring? Also do you have any special brushes? I'm new to art and really adore your style, so any tips would help tremendously!

I’ve come around to enjoy Clip Studio Paint! They have sales for their products very often so I got the art program for about $25 USD. I really enjoy using the waterbrushes and the other wide arrange of tools they provide while also being very easy for me to navigate and set up my shortcuts to make my workflow more streamlined. ♥I also use Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop CS4 time to time but ClipStudio is my main go-to program.I experiment with my brushes and colours very often so I can’t explicitly say I have a set method to go with. I’m still trying to find a style I enjoy while also achieving a likable end product that doesn’t consume a crazy amount of time lol

Made this originally to join all the cool kids having their night elves react to Teldrassil burning. As an ancient elf who went into isolation long before the creation of Darnassus, Larkiniel was informed of Darnassus’ existence only a few weeks ago Suffice to say, she has no attachments to it.

MY ELF REACTS THE SAME WAY THEY SHOULD DRINK TEA TOGETHER

Lark enjoys conversing with others. Time to time she can be found in Stormwind under a different alias. Offer her some tea and she’ll more than likely take it up. :)

But even if a Night Elf character has no attachment to Teldrassil as a place / home, presumably they'd have an attachment to, you know... the idea of their people and be hurt by the knowledge of how many countless lives were lost in the invasion of Ashenvale/Darkshore and then the burning itself.

I’m actually really glad you brought this up because now it allows me the chance to ramble about my own characters, hueh.

Larkiniel is neither attached to Teldrassil or the kaldorei and has distanced herself from them for the past several centuries after a lot of Shit That Happened™. Because of that and her more recent years of building bonds with others of a much different way of life, she has adopted their views and values. This, in turn, has caused her to struggle with her identity as a kaldorei. She feels as though she can no longer address them as brother or sister as she did in the days of old. She came to feel abandoned by them. And ended up joining a group who ended up caring for and evolving her in ways that living with the kaldorei did not offer (albeit very, very reluctantly at first). Larkiniel now cares more for her new family.

Nowadays, Larkiniel has come to adopt the viewpoint that in order to grow stronger, one must overcome suffering. Those who succumb or live a life of luxury are weak and stagnant.

I can go more in-depth if anyone is actually curious, though I recommend that those questions be directed to my character's blog. ♥

Small Update

Commissions are still closed for the majority of the public, finally getting out of my 1-2 year hiatus/burn out. Going to take small steps but I’m really thankful to have very patient followers. <3

Swipe. Swipe. Swipe.
The sound of cutting. Larkiniel’s eyes peered downwards in confusion as locks of silver would pool at her feet. Demetrius had lopped off large chunks of her once long and curly hair. The kaldorei peered back at him in wonder. The man himself, wielding his ritualistic knife would merely speak with cryptic words.
"A new start. For a new beginning."

Guess Who got a new haircut! snip snip.  (I forgot both her scars and feathers but honestly I can’t be bothered to correct it.)
