My goals too

I’ve been working out a lot more lately to try to improve my mental health. Before college I used to play sports and workout regularly but also I always got a lot of hate because no matter how much I work out I’ve always been fat and that can be super discouraging. It was so discouraging that in high school I was counting calories to no more than 1500 a day but running a mile a day and doing regular strength training and certainly was not being safe or healthy but I needed something that I could control. I’m learning how to be nice to my body and not hate it for not fitting into a standard that it was never built to be in. Rest days between workouts is super hard to train myself to do because I always ran through the pain (which has resulted in some permanent injuries). I’m learning to adapt. Bodies are resilient and adaptable just like the earth which is why we are made in the image of the earth. Our veins of rivers, our lungs of trees, our flesh of soil. I’m reclaiming my body as mine which serves me and my health and my abilities and my limitations. I’m learning not to hate my body as I learn not to hate myself. #fitnessmotivation #fitnessformentalhealth #flexible #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning #restday #mentalhealth #bodypositive #mybodyisresilient #earth #godischange #bulletjournal #bujo #bujohealth #bujofitness
