Thinking of getting oneee

I have mine for nearly three years now and it was the best decision ever and please spread this around because so many people don’t know about it!

Let me just say that I started using this a few months ago and I am so happy with it. I will never switch back to tampons or pads because this little cup is just the best thing ever. It’s easy to use, safe, healthy, you can sleep with it in, no leaks, and you can wear it for up to 12 hours at a time. ITS SERIOUSLY THE BEST THING EVER

The Boston Symphony was performing Beethoven’s Ninth. In the piece, there’s a long passage about 20 minutes during which the double basses have nothing to do. Rather than sit around the whole time looking stupid, some bassists decided to sneak offstage and go to the tavern next door for a quick one. After slamming several beers in quick succession (as double bassists are prone to do), one of them looked at his watch. “Hey! We need to get back!”

“No need to panic,” said a fellow bassist. "I thought we might need some extra time, so I tied the last few pages of the conductor’s score together with string. It’ll take him a few minutes to get it untangled.“

A few moments later they staggered back to the concert hall and took their places in the orchestra. About this time, a member of the audience noticed the conductor seemed a bit edgy and said as much to her companion.

“Well, of course,” said her companion. “Don’t you see? It’s the bottom of the Ninth, the score is tied, and the bassists are loaded.”

Form your habits

Forming your habits can be extremely difficult, here’s a tool that can help you achieve that. I use a 21 days calendar because it’s customary in these sort of things. It’s not scientifically based but usually 21 days are enough for most people to create a new lasting habit. Sometimes you’ll need more.

All the sections in the printable are there to help you, so I really recommend you fill every part! Let’s see what those are:

Triggers - it can be anything, even an alarm on your phone, but I suggest you ‘latch’ your new habit to some old one you have. Like if you want to start flossing, use as a trigger ‘after washing my teeth’ or something logical like that. Also put this printable somewhere you can see, so that you’ll be reminded of it!

Rewards - while the habit in itself should be a reward you definitely need something a little more short term because sometimes it’s difficult to see the long term plan. Something small and easy, like congratulating yourself, or crossing off the task in your planner or app, or buy something small like a song or an app, or do a little dance or whatever it might work for you and might bring a smile on your face.

Why am I doing this? - This is possibly the most important. if you don’t have a personal reason to form a new habit you’ll never find the motivation to do it.

Tiny Victories - More often than not you’ll face all sort of obstacles during your attempt to form your habit. Consider from the beginning a list of small wins that are a ‘lighter version’ of your habit. So you don’t have to punish yourself if you don’t get that day to perform your habit. It will make it easier for you to start the habit and it will not become a chore. 

“but I just don’t want to today…” - We are our worst enemies. You know yourselves pretty well, you probably have tried more than once to attempt this habit, so you know how many excuses you can come up in the next 21 days to avoid working on your habit… “I’m too stressed to do this” “I was so good yesterday I can take a day off” “I’m on vacation”… and so on. Make a list of replies to yourself, now that your excitement is at the top so in the next days you’ll be able to read it again and convince yourself to actually do what you proposed yourself to do.

So you know how we’ve been told to rewatch 2x01 before the finale next week? Well, here’s my prediction as to why:

In “The 48”, we had that whole scene when Clarke was trying to escape. She had almost made it out and was about to pull the lever to open that giant door, but Jasper convinced her not to because it would kill everyone in Mount Weather.

Fast forward to next week’s episode, Cage has the 44 plus a bunch of other people Clarke cares about held hostage and is slowly killing them one by one. Shooting Dante didn’t work, so what does Clarke do? She goes to that door she found in 2x01 and places her hand on the lever. She knows that pulling it will kill all of the innocent people in Mount Weather along with Cage and his guards, but she has to save her people. So she pulls it and the 300+ Mountain Men die painful deaths due to radiation, paralleling to last season’s finale when she pulled the dropship’s lever and burned 300+ Grounders alive.

This could also tie into the big Bellarke scene taking place in the finale. A tweet claimed that the moment is similar to 1x08, aka “Day Trip”. Toward the end of that episode, we had the ship-sailing moment where Bellamy calls himself a monster and Clarke tells him that she needs him, that she forgives him. 

Now that Clarke has killed all of the Mountain Men, she realizes how much blood is on her hands. Not only did the guards die but children died, too. So, of course, she kind of breaks down, but Bellamy won’t let that happen. He tells her that she did what she had to do and that she isn’t a monster because he knows that’s exactly what she needs to hear.

#this scene broke my heart #because you can tell in the first gif clarke is trying to look neutral #but her face is giving her away #she has so many things to focus on and she doesn’t have time to worry #she’s trying not to wonder about bellamy #and in the last gif you can see her thinking about him for a split second #and her face falls #before she immediately turns it off and goes back into battle mode #because it’s just too much to handle on top of everything else
