Following the police killing of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge (which was caught on video), social media users and celebrities are expressing their outrage and disgust. Comedian Travon Free really drove the point home with one Jesse Williams quote.

i am so throughly disgusted by the buzzfeed’s “latinas watch ‘latina’ porn” video’s comments like there’s this girl legit crying thinking about the struggles her family went through to cross the border to the us and how now in ‘latina’ porn it’s common to see ‘border patrol sex’ and how fucking terrifying and awful that is YET the entire comments section is filled with fucking disgusting men saying things like “she’s overreacting” or “now i know what i’ll watch tonight” and how much they ‘love’ latinas and i just want to throw up and punch every single one of them like we’re legit so sexualised and considered a fucking joke like we’re treated like absolutely nothing we’ve got no protection we can’t even talk about our feelings without men trying to sexualise or repress us

the us is such a terrifying place and i’m so sorry for my sisters who have to deal with such blatantly shown racism but i’m also glad they got to get out of whatever they wanted/had to leave behind and in all honesty latinas are fucking powerful like bruh watch us never giving up and standing strong and beautiful like our entire core is made out of burning coal and our blood is pure fire like don’t fucking try us cos we’re getting tired and we’ve never been afraid of fighting
