Now it was the boy’s turn to huff. Really? The way that Bagheera was smirking at Ventus couldn’t help but make him frustrated, “It’s not like I go looking for Kaa,” He said with a shake of his head, “He just comes looking for me. But I’m still here, in one piece. So I think Mom would be fine with that.”
“Besides,” His lips found his way back to a smile, “It’s not like Kaa or anyone else would try anything with you by my side, all day long,” Ventus was looking forward to their walk today. No stupid snake was going to ruin it for him, “So, the man village is that way,” He pointed, “So we don’t want to go there...What’s over there, Bagheera?” He asked as he moved his hand in the other direction.

“It’s not like I haven’t been outside of our territory before,” The boy shrugged. What the council didn’t know couldn’t hurt them. Ventus knew well enough to avoid anywhere close to the man village. That was the last place he wanted to be near, “And besides, I can’t just stay cooped up in our den all day. It’s boring over there.”
“She...” He paused to think about his words. Bagheera had him in a corner, “...She doesn’t mind if I’m out in the jungle with someone like you walking with me.”

HE TUTS, typical. but expected of cubs, in every species a warning a mere was a challenge, a scoop to a crusade that would lead to dissapointed eyes and love taps. BUT he was young, he was a sponge and every day was a lesson; he only hopes he can be there when the lesson goes sour. VENTUS WAS SAFE, so he’ll let this one slide for now.

This time, Ventus just ignored the tutting from the panther. How could Bagheera always be so grumpy all the time? Was there a thorn in his paw that the boy could take out? He moved a hand to run along Bagheera’s fur as he nodded.
“Of course! Let’s go farther than we’ve ever gone in the jungle before today. I wonder if we’ll run into anyone.”
