Shen Wei wants to duck his head, because the prince’s piercing gaze feels like it can see right through him. But he’s Shen Wei, Heipaoshi of Dixing. He may have committed to a lot with this mission, but he refuses to duck his head when he’s giving the prince his name. Not when he and the prince have already faced off on the battlefield and come away from their encounters as acknowledged equals.

So he meets Crown Prince Zhao Yunlan’s gaze directly and says, “This concubine is called Shen Wei.”

Shen looks up, and sees Zhao holding a pair of chopsticks in his mouth. He has a one-metre- long plastic tray in his hands, with five slots on it, each big enough for a huge bowl or a moderate-sized plate.

Five slots, if there aren’t a lot of people, that’s just enough for the standard four dishes and a soup, and he can carry everything in just one trip.

What kind of sloth designed this godly tool, the world may never know.

And yet the godly tool in Zhao’s hands has other godly things on it. From left to right, a tidy queue of large-size instant cup noodles sits on the tray, steaming with a mix of indescribable odour.

What can Shen say in this situation.

And so Zhao sits himself on the couch like a bad-ass, and starts explaining as if counting mountains, “First left is braised beef  noodles, boiled in water, second left is old-altar pickled cabbage noodles, boiled in hot milk, in the middle is mushroom and chicken stew noodles, microwaved in water, with a knob of butter, second right is assorted seafood noodles, I found it a bit bland, so I added a spoon of sweet sauce, first right is bacon cream noodles, boiled in hot coffee… this one should be good. Pick whatever you like.”

Then, he finally finds himself a little awkward, “Well, you see… I don’t know how to make other things. You don’t come over often, and I thought just making two instant noodles was a bit too embarrassing.”

So. In less than 5 minutes, it’s going to be the 17th here and the new TOS is going to kick in. My blog may or may not still be around after tomorrow (I have no intentions of deleting it myself but who knows what TPTB will decide). I’ve backed up what I could and I think I’ve gotten the stuff that’s taken me the most time to put together. (I’m likealeafonthewind on both wordpress and dreamwidth, for anyone who wants to keep up with me.)

Anyway, this whole thing’s made me kind of nostalgic so I started looking through my blog archive. And I’ve apparently been here since January 2011. I’ve gone through so many fandoms, met so many people, made so many friends, learned how to make gifs, started writing fic seriously. This has probably been the longest I’ve stayed with any platform, actually. Not that it’s always been sunshine and roses, of course. There were times when I hated this site and thought about hate quitting and took a break from it instead until I felt less stressed about it. (That’s not the reason for my most recent absence though. I’ve actually just been practically living on youtube because....I tripped and fell into kpop...specifically bts...and I’ve been busy watching pretty much every video I can find of them which is...a lot, lol.)

Er, I don’t know where exactly I was going with this. I guess, see you all on the other side?

TCW/SW Prequels Fandom Rolodex

Seeing as it’s probably going to be hard to find everybody we follow’s “find me here” posts, especially when people start deleting their blogs, I’ve set up a public spreadsheet so we can all keep track of each other if we migrate to different platforms, no matter where to.

The Clone Wars/Prequels fandom is small enough as it is, and I have really loved befriending this ridiculous hilarious fandom. I would absolutely hate to wake up and find out that people have disappeared and I can’t find them again.
