This is my first and probably last post I will ever make. I’m here to consume the content, not necessarily create it.
I see all of you fighting the good fight for Billy and his story. And I wanted to add my thoughts into the ring.
As someone who works with children and adults from abusive backgrounds EVERY SINGLE DAY. I can tell you that Billy checks every single box for being in his survival state 24/7.
I have had extensive trainings about trauma, how to recognize it and the effects it can have on a person and how they act. Personally I have endured a lot of trauma myself and had to unlearn a lot of unhealthy behaviors and ways of thinking because of it.
With that being said: someone who is in a state of survival constantly is not capable of thinking rationally, the only goal is to…survive.
Billy Hargrove was an abused child. A CHILD. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Does this forgive his actions? No. But it explains them. Gives us a deeper insight into the “why?”
Neil hit his son, he insulted him, called him a slur and then reminded him that Max, his younger stepsister’s well-being is in his hands. That’s a lot for a 17 year old to go through. Then he goes to the Byers residence where he’s insulted and lied to. His sister (who’s well-being is in his hands) is alone with 5 boys, one of them is his age? THEN to top it all off, Steve punches him? All that built up rage from what just happened with Neil comes spilling out. Oh and to make matters worse, he gets sedated and Max MIRRORS Neil’s abuse by making him repeat himself. Keep this in mind, while all this is going on Billy has absolutely no idea what is going on. He still doesn’t know what Max is doing with all of these boys in this house.
Moving forward- Billy gets possessed by the mind flayer, he still has no idea what is going on and loses control of his own body. He had to watch as his hands take the lives of many people to feed this creature from his worst nightmares. Then this group of children lock him in a sauna, he is FINALLY able to beg for help and sobs. Even then NOBODY tells him what’s going on, no one really makes an effort to help him. It’s only in the final episode of season 3 that El breaks through to him, she see’s his past, his mom leaving, the abuse. Even standing up to the mind flayer Billy has no idea what he’s up against, he’s still in the dark. All he knows is that it’s him or this child that showed him how to come back to himself. It’s him or Max, and as we already know Max’s well-being is in his hands. Nothing is more terrifying than Neil’s wrath. And in his dying breath he apologizes.
For my fellow Billy Stans- Please never let anyone bully you about what characters you can and can’t like. Your ability to see deeper into the characters and push past the hate is needed in this world. Not just in fiction, but in the real world. If you relate to Billy as I do, from past trauma, I am so sorry. I am so very sorry that you have to fight, explain and rationalize your love for him every time. For whatever reason you stand behind Billy Hargrove, it is valid. And unlike Billy’s story, I hope that yours doesn’t end in tragedy. My inbox is always open for those who need to talk.
Now, for the Antis- I want to say, good for you. You managed to take a broken and deeply complex character and reduce him to a heartless villain in your minds. Think what you want about him, it really doesn’t matter. What does matter is how you act to the people who do relate to Billy. The name calling, the hate, the wild assumptions about real people!! It’s so insane to me. I hope that turning into the bully to make a point was worth it. How other people relate to a character doesn’t affect you in any way at all. Somehow many of you have managed to put people down and make them afraid to express their love for a character. It’s not something to be proud of.
I am not willing to argue with anyone on this, this is just my views and my opinion. Dacre Montgomery stated that he worked hard to humanize Billy Hargrove. Seeing his character be dragged through the mud and continuously be turned into the irredeemable monster by the Duffer Brothers and the fans is just really sad.
Billy Hargrove means a lot to me. For a lot of different reasons. He deserved so much more than he was given. He deserved a chance to redeem himself and to tell his side of the story. He deserved a chance to apologize for everything he did in his survival state. He deserved the chance to finally be happy and be surrounded by people who actually cared for him, who wanted to help him.
Just keep going everyone. ❤️

PETER HALE'S INTEREST IN STILES
There are numerous accounts where Stiles and Peter get along. For pale-weak-defenseless-147-pounds-of-frail-skin-and-fragile-bones Stiles to spend so much time with the psychotic-monstrous-lunatic-who-everyone-hates Peter without the latter killing the former (and not even injuring, ever), it’s a very strange dynamic for the show.
Unfortunately I can not point out all of these instances, but I will do my best to point out the most significant patterns between these two.
I have three main speculations as to why this strange relationship exists between Stiles and Peter, but first let’s look at the evidence:

People on disability shouldn't get a stimulus check, theirs should be donated to repaying all the money they've mooched off taxpayers.
This is not the first time I’ve gotten a message like this. I always find it curious. Because if you have this attitude you are either invincible, rich, or a fool.
I used to be in this tech nerd community and there was this older fella who slowly revealed himself to be a super right wing asshat. He complained about immigrants mooching, black people mooching, poor people mooching… everybody was mooching his taxes. Meanwhile, he was 65 and working hard. Paying his own way. Doing things proper like a good American.
He was no damn moocher, that’s for sure.
Then he got sick.
He could not work anymore.
Lost his medical insurance.
His savings ran out in about 3 months.
And he became a fellow moocher.
He had to sign up for Medicare and disability.
But then he realized that wasn’t enough to live on. Boy, was he mad. ALL CAPS POSTS about how he can’t afford rent. He can’t afford food. He started posting links to his Paypal asking people to donate. He got furious at people because no one would give him money. Called us all bad people for not helping him in his time of need. He had to move to a smaller place. Sell a lot of his tech.
He was so very angry.
“I WORKED HARD.”
“I DID THINGS THE PROPER WAY.”
“I DESERVE MORE THAN THOSE MOOCHERS!”
Even after his experience, he viewed himself as different than other people trapped in the safety net. He deserved more because he had a bootstrap attitude. It didn’t occur to him that a lot of people on welfare or disability probably worked hard too. That he was no more or less deserving than them. It was sad to see his experience didn’t instill any empathy.
He’s a lost cause. But maybe you aren’t. Maybe you should think about how long you could last before you’d have to mooch. Are you set for life? If you were in an accident and unable to work ever again, would you be able to live comfortably and manage your expenses? Think about that. And think about the fact that disability pays less than minimum wage. Could you live your life on $750 per month? What changes would you have to make to accomplish that? Use your imagination and really try to put yourself in those shoes.
$1200 is not a windfall for me. It is maybe 4 months of having slightly less financial anxiety. That anxiety is a part of my life. It is inescapable and I have conceded it will always be there. It is the dread of seeing $14 in my bank account towards the end of the month and hoping I didn’t forget about an automatic payment. It’s the fear of looking in my freezer and wondering if two bags of frozen chicken nuggets are enough to last until I get my next payment.
But now I am getting $1200 and for a few months maybe I don’t have to feel some of that anxiety. I can reallocate that anxiety to the world being on fire and worrying about my dad getting sick.
But you want me to send it back?
What’s even sadder about your attitude is you are focusing on the wrong people. I’m not a moocher. I’m an insignificant financial speck in the grand scheme. I’m probably a percentage of a penny on your tax bill. But then you look at companies like Amazon who used loopholes to pay no taxes. They also got cities to subsidize offices and warehouses. So not only did they not pay taxes, we paid them for the honor of giving people low wage jobs with poor benefits and dubious working conditions.
What about our F-35 fighter jet program? For years they didn’t even work properly and they still haven’t even been used for anything and they will probably rarely be utilized because of drones. But we will spend a trillion dollars on them anyway.
What about oil subsidies? About $20 billion of our tax dollars goes to the fossil fuel industry every year. An industry that has never struggled to turn a profit. Just look at pictures of Dubai and ask yourself why we are giving them subsidies.
We give corporations billions upon billions of dollars even though they are making record profits. And then we find out they were operating so close to the edge that they can’t even last a month without us giving them billions more.
But my $750 per month makes me the moocher.
Sure.

Tbh if someone feels the need to criticize you for doing these things, they’re taking your own hobby way too seriously. It’s ok to just have fun with it, yo, they’re fictional characters, they won’t be personally offended if you change things up. It’s a free sandbox, you get to build what you want with it.
And it’s fine if someone doesn’t like that. They can just look at someone else’s sandcastle then, yours doesn’t have to cater to their tastes.

I'm a lover of Angst. Can i have one with Tony getting hurt, pretty badly, maybe a car accident with his belobed mustang or something and Clay just fretting over him
1. Clay’s almost sure his heart stopped beating once he received that text. One text and his entire world was turned upside down. The text was from Tony’s younger sister and all it said was, “Come to the hospital right now. Tony was in a car accident.”
2. Clay doesn’t think he’s ever pedaled faster on his bike - his mind going into overdrive. A car accident? That was so unlike Tony, he has always been a careful driver. He never looked away from the road and followed the speed limits. How serious were his injuries? Clay can’t help but think of the worst situation possible.
3. Once Clay got there, he practically ran inside and towards the recovery unit. He sees Tony’s family and sprints over, panting and asking a million questions at once. They explain what happened; another car ran a red light at an intersection and slammed into the passenger side of Tony’s mustang.
4. His family also explained the injuries, nothing as bad as Clay was thinking. A broken arm, his ribs were bruised, and a large gash on his thigh from some broken glass. Other than a few cuts, he was fine and currently resting. Clay sits with his family in the waiting room until the doctor lets them know that they’re allowed to see him.
5. Tony’s family insists that Clay goes in first, they know bad he wants to. Once Clay enters the hospital room, he feels his nerves spike up all over again. Seeing Tony’s arm wrapped in a cast and bandages across his body makes him sick - he never wants to see Tony in pain. He pulls up a chair beside the bed and holds onto his right hand, the one on his unbroken arm.
6. A few minutes pass before Tony starts to wake up, and upon seeing Clay he smiles despite the pounding headache he has. Clay, relieved at the sight of Tony awake, let’s out a breath that he didn’t know he was holding. He promises to take care of him while he recovers. (“you gave me a fucking heart attack, I’m not leaving your side until I know you’re better.”)
I seriously love this. You don’t see a lot of Clony with Tony being the one getting hurt. So thank you that <3
