here’s some early visdev for the Sprint Vector teaser i helped with a year ago! sprint vector is a VR game developed by Survios and at Chromosphere we did a short teaser for their launch. Eusong and I worked on the early pitch together and i did some thumbnails, colorscripting and bg painting, and i also got to color Eusong’s amazing character designs and some of his layouts/boards. we were inspired by psychedelic futurism and really wanted the style to feel fast and organic, like its moving with the music. initially i felt like the original story idea we were working with was very fast paced and could’ve been hard to follow but i think Eusong took the idea and made it work really well, he’s a great director and i’m glad i got to work with him on this :)

this is my other favorite colorscript from the peabody show, Kevin was feeling kind of stuck inspirationally color/style wise for this Edgar Allen Poe episode because he already did so many colorscripts for the show lol and at some point you just run out of ideas or you get tired etc and we talked about it and we came up with doing this old fairytale book illustrations style which we were pretty happy with :) Kevin did the first 2 panels and I helped fill in the rest, it was a nice break to get to do more sketchy line drawn stuff than the usual shape oriented style

i always have a lot of fun when we go to a totally different style like this stain glass inspiration for the Joan of Arc music video in Mr. Peabody and Sherman tv show, I thought the colorscript that Kevin did was beautiful and the song was also super fun to listen to :) the video came out really cool also thanks to Stephane Coedel!

Song is by: Hammered Satin - Joan of Arc

ahh this was one of the hardest peabody colorscripts for me, it took a really long time.. i wanted to do a vintage kind of las vegas with gold, sometimes i think i make strange color choices because i think they’re interesting but then i have a hard time figuring a way to balance it out so it doesn’t all look so crazy lol, it took me awhile to finally finish it and i’m not sure how i feel about the colorscript now but i do think the BGs look fun

ok so this is a weird post but i really like doing the funny looking backgrounds, that castle one is like an old school CG video game bg, the one with the tree is a giant bird nest tree lol and Chris Turnham painted the little town in that bg, and here’s some other random ones with weird animals from the Mr. Peabody Sherman show :) these are not the most beautiful BGs I’ve painted but I’ll never for get them

ah haven’t posted in awhile on here =_= i’ve got a bunch of stuff to update, here’s some Mr. Peabody and Sherman tv show colorscript and background paintings from an episode about Queen Elizabeth ^_^ this was my first time handling a colorscript and it was a big learning experience, Kevin Dart did the first 5 panels in the top row and then I filled in the rest of it, I learned alot about his color sense and trying to find color palettes that fit the locations but were stylized for the show, it was pretty intense doing it for the first time but it was also really fun experience :)
