sometimes i think about lady me and her volumes upon volumes of well-organized memoirs she can barely feel connected to anymore, and then i think about jack harkness, who tries to hold onto everyone with the desperate clinging grasp of fading memories, who must know he will lose one day. how long can you make love last when you will last forever. can you drag its weight with you to the end of the universe, and what do you do if you feel the burden getting lighter before you’re even halfway. and that’s about the point where i start crying.
