i spent a million years on this because i love him a lot...........🥺🥺🥺

Katara and Zuko being the mom and dad friend of the group.

but like...

we all know katara was attracted to both jet and haru, and zuko is the combination of their good qualities—insanely handsome with a good heart, has amazing hair and eyebrows, good with swords, and knows how to listen. plus she opened up about her mom to all three of em and it was zuko who actually did something to bring her closure

then there’s zuko with song and jin (and ok, mai). and katara has all of their good qualities—beautiful, smart, a fighter. not only did she care about him, but she also knew who he truly was and supported him when his guilt and insecurities were gnawing at him. bonus? she’s a strong advocate of social justice

i really find it hard to believe that they didnt fall for each other just because canon said so. like given their history and personalities, arent those the qualities they’re realistically bound to look for (and fall for) in a lover? someone you can talk to, be yourself with, makes you feel less alone, and understands you in ways others cant. this isnt to diminish their friendship but they literally had the most natural build-up for a healthy romantic relationship and im just—

and when people say that it’s impossible since they only spent 5 episodes together where they’re in good terms, zuko literally spent one episode each with song and jin. same with katara who had two episodes each with jet and haru where they directly interacted. bryke can make them blush around their canon partners in all 3 seasons for “build-up” but if that strong connection aint there, it aint there

and yes, they fought each other for most of the series but they already resolved their issues and no longer have emotional baggages against each other. they had a conflict, talked it out, resolved them together, and came out to the other end as better individuals with better understanding of each other—something people in healthy relationships do.

to be clear, i wouldnt want them to make out at the end either but a scene foreshadowing a future together wont be out of place. lol 

oh my god sokka rly just accepts zuko as a friend right away? he immediately just starts roasting him with jerkbending and his little dragon dance bless

Sokka was 100% on board for the friendship, not because Zuko redeemed himself, but because Zuko was easy roast material

Korra + Impossible Redirection

This last gif is actually really cool when you consider that Kuvira bent the meteor rock (the ferrous fluid) as if it were just a soft metal - while Korra is bending it like water because she’s trained in water bending and knows how to do that. In the words of Guru Pathik: “If you open your mind, you will see that all the elements are one. Four parts of the same whole.” To the Avatar, why can’t rock be water?
