the abra line’s stupidly low defense and HP combined with the ‘dex talking about how increasingly fucked up their anatomy gets as they evolve has resulted in me headcanoning them as being the horses of the Pokemon world health-wise. if you look at an Alakazam wrong it’ll break both its legs

i realize you’re probably half-joking but legitimately having this level of control over what i see on my dash and not having the popularity of my posts determined by The Algorithm makes using tiktok feel like my body is fighting a Disease
i think a lot of us, when we’re growing up, we learn kind of the opposite of self-care. a kind of self-disregard, if that makes any sense.
especially those of us who have invisible disabilities, we needed extra rest or extra help or something different from other kids, but not only did we not get it, we were made to feel greedy or lazy for needing it. so we internalized that, and we grew up with this feeling that having needs is weakness.
hands up if you were shocked to discover that not everyone goes through life being exhausted and hungry and strung out all the time. o/
for the longest time i just thought everyone else was better than me at hiding the fact that they were constantly in pain and sleep deprived.

once in grade 6 I saw a 'pottery making club' in a ditch on the schoolyard- I assume at some point someone realized there was actually good quality clay in the ditch and when I walked up there were about a dozen 12 year olds sitting around the few girls who had brought their water bottles out to mix the clay, and a designated spot to put the finished bowls and tablets, and people going off and collecting sticks to make designs with and i really think that's the natural state of the human race
In elementary school I learned that you can make paint out of certain sedimentary rocks on the playground if you crushed them and mixed with water and at one point I had up to 25 kindergarten through third graders making cave paintings on the underside of the slides

kids in my general area used to do this thing called going super saiyan wear a 12-year-old would just like fancy restaurant you enter a fancy restaurant with your fist balled scowling and then they are like hey how may I help you and you just power stance and throw your head back and scream as loud as they can until they remove you from the restaurant
