1, 12, 14, 24 for the fic asks, please!

Avatar

Thank you darling!! xox I just did 12 and 14 here!

1. favorite fic you wrote this year

Oh my gosh. Is it super egotistical to say that I've... kind of enjoyed my writing this year? I've definitely written some things I'm really proud of, whether or not they landed well in any particular fandom!

In the Larry/1D fandom, I'd say:

Unveiled. I worked so hard on this fic as did @realitybetterthanfiction - we were literally editing until midnight before I posted it. I don't think I quite did my vision justice but I think it came together in the end. Emmu's (@londonfoginacup) art was so so beautiful. I really enjoy world-building when I have the time, and this world was super interesting to me. Royalty! Magic! A/B/O but super light!

In the Drarry fandom:

I was super-inspired by @julcheninred and @m4g0rtz art and I have to say, I'm very fond of my Harry Scissorhands fic. It's so fun to be inspired by wonderful art, and this was another fic that made me laugh out loud as I wrote it. (I'm pretty sure the things I find funny are somewhat orthogonal to most people but that's okay, I'm amused). I'm also really proud of my @hdsudsfest fic, Is This Love? - luckily I wrote the whole thing the day I claimed my own prompt (haha) because then I got sick for the next 2 months and never would have been able to do it.

I also just have to scream really really loudly about It Must Be Love, the absolutely incredible art that was inspired by that fic and gifted to me in the amazing @hdowlpost fest this year. GO LOOK BECAUSE OMG it's like this artist just REACHED INTO MY BRAIN and pulled out the most amazing moment and just. It's so beautiful.

24. favorite fic you read this year

Holy crap, I don't even know where to begin because I've read SO MUCH FIC this year!!

Some of the more recent ones I've read that stand out in my mind are:

Drarry

A Lick and a Promise by @tackytigerfic - This literally led to me having a massive meltdown at them because I was so undone by it. Gorgeous.

Develop, Stop and Fix by @onbeinganangel - combines some of my most favorite things ever, like darkroom photography (as an old school person who used to develop and print my own stuff), New York, and, you know gorgeous writing about Drarry. So good.

Chasing Dragons by @the-sinking-ship - another fucking fantastic fic!!

Other

I read a metric shitton in fandoms I don't write it, so probably most of what I read this year was Sterek, Alex/Henry from RWRB (which is apparently firstprince, who knew? not me!) and Buddie, my current absolute OBSESSION.

Gotta give a shoutout to my darling @suburbanmotel - if you read Sterek, go read all of their stuff, but especially Fine, it's gorgeous. Phenomenally talented writer.

Okay I can stop there. I have so many recs for these fandoms! Maybe I'll write a post ha ha
