A Barber's Memoir

My name is Peter Dario.

If you haven’t realized yet, I am a barber. If I wasn’t, then the name of this blog would be completely unrelated to whoever I would be if I wasn’t one. I never woke up and yearned to be a hairstylist. To be honest, it was fast cash during high school. As years went on, I noticed that I began to love it. I definitely do not enjoy standing in one spot for multiple of hours, but there is greater life beyond just trimming strands of overgrown hair.

I work at what I believe is a high-end barbershop. We charge good money in a wealthy suburban area, but definitely beats city prices. I have clients who range from new to kindergarten to new money and all of them are truly awesome.

So you’re probably wondering why I created this blog, if you haven’t, well fuck you. Totally joking.. There was a day when this one man, we’ll call him Tom to keep his name disclosed, who came into the shop. Tom walked in with a smirk with a poorly grown out haircut. He also walked in wearing a suit worth more than my tuition. This guy ended being my 5PM appointment, who was actually a few minutes early which I appreciated. Shook his hand, set up the station, and proceeded the service. By the time I finished, I had pretty much learned about Tom’s favorite food spots, where he bought his high-end outfit, and how he used to own multiple bongs back in college. Today, he owns a successful communications company in New York City. Yes, he still smokes weed, but most importantly, he had an awesome haircut.

I admired his lifestyle, which is why I founded “A Barber’s Memoir”. A blog consisting of certain aspects that I believe is interesting such as tasty food, modern day fashion, never ending stories, and obviously timeless haircuts. It will make you laugh, get educated, and make your stomach gurgle.
