i fell in love with you because when i’m with you the entire world shuts off,
every problem i have goes away
and i can’t help but picture our life together.
i fell in love with you because you effortlessly show me you care every single day.
i fell in love with you when i needed you, and i didn’t even know it
i fell in love with you because i had nothing to offer but myself
- and you chose to stay.
i fell in love with you because the moment we were sitting on the couch and i looked into your eyes i felt home, i felt safe, i felt trust
- a feeling i have never felt before, because i have always felt alone.
but for the first time
when i’m with you
i don’t feel stuck in this feeling of the unknown.
i fell in love with you because after getting to know you, who you are, i wanted to make you a permanent part of my world.
and whether that’s for 5 months or 50 years - it didn’t matter because i’m finally happy.

if someone told me to come and listen to the wind blow with them i would do it. if someone told me to come and sit on their bed while they get dressed i would do it. if someone called me late at night to come and walk with them i would not hesitate and i would do it... i would do it to be there
