I was mulling over whether to send this ask or not but I got into Guardian recently and realized v quickly that the fandom and fan-content is almost non-existent?? What a pleasant surprise to see one of my favourite artists posting weilan. I'm so hungry, thank you for the good food
Uhuhuhuhu that is true. There’s very limited resources of fan-content for WeiLan/Guardian. I’m so hungry for them toooooo…!! I’m very glad I’ve been a source of food for that craving. ;;;;w;;;;

And speaking more broadly of Guardian: it’s a small fandom but so good? I love it so much. And there’s plenty of it if you know where to look! Twitter has a sprawling web of people who actively post lots of Guardian content in half a dozen languages, and the Dreamwidth fandom is kicking! Since it’s not always obvious where to find it, I thought I’d write up a quick list because: YES MORE MORE PEOPLE IN GUARDIAN PLEASE.
You can connect with the Twitter fandom by looking through the #WeilanWeek2019 hashtag (which will also let you find so much goodness). More good hashtags: WeiLan, 巍澜, 镇魂, 진혼
Meanwhile Dreamwidth has got multiple active comms:
The Brush & Lantern posts monthly creative themes, with a post each month where people can share snippets or vent about the creative process. (I’m one of the mods! Come join us! You don’t need an account on Dreamwidth to participate!)
Merit Brush Recs does what it says on the tin - allows you to post recommendations for fanworks (not your own, though there was a self-rec postin April).
SID Guardian is the fandom noticeboard.
And in January the Sundial Exchange drew 49 participants who posted almost 70 fanworks to the AO3 collection. It’s not currently running anything, but I understand something might show up in the comm during the Northern Hemisphere summer months.
Oh, and for anyone interested in fanart, I’ve put together a spreadsheet with over 250 artists from all over. It’s here on my Dreamwidth.

It’s definitely not a megafandom, but having been in the fandom since August 2018 I’m still able to find new fic and art every day, and there are always people around to scream about Guardian with, and that makes me happier than I can say. ♥

Also, thank you so much for the support as well!! It’s really a surprise to see my Guardian works getting some notes. It’s a big motivation as a creator who loves the same show/characters. We’re not a big fandom so I wasn’t expecting that tbh haha
