do people actually fall in love with each other at coffee shops or just stare til one of u has to leave

I once wrote a short story about an old man with a crush on the barista at a coffee shop, so much so that he’d return multiple times every single day just to hear her say a few words as she takes his order and catch a smile or two. He spends so much time there and drinks so much coffee that the caffeine actually takes a toll on his heart, but he just can’t stop returning; he’s too preoccupied focusing on the fluttering of the heart which she gives him that he doesn’t realise she’s actually destroying him. When his heart finally gives in and he collapses, it’s at the table of the coffee shop which has caused it all, and his last few thoughts as he clings to life is of how beautiful she looks as she leans over him, trying to get him to hold on.

The story was called ‘Black. No Sugar.’
