In the heady days of the mid-2000s, Tim Burton was in high demand, and it was decided he'd head the newest adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland. Tim, who admitted having "no personal connection" to the original text, decided to use the film as a ground-up reimagining of the story - a hero's journey with magical swords and ancient prophecies and a strong moral message about... following orders? Ultimately we wound up with a film lacking any real identity, confused in its own message, and somehow less feminist than something written in the late 1800s.

I think it’s easy to brand Gunn a monster for his past, and I think it’s easy for some to throw down their arms and say “So the SJWs can’t handle a callout if it’s one of their own, eh?” but, ultimately, I don’t think this is a situation that comes with easy answers. A right-wing mob outed a high-profile director, and he was fired for it - the rest of the story requires some unpacking. Hope you all enjoy, and of course likes/shares help if you do!
“Outed”? No, a pair of professional instigators dug up JOKES he made in 2008 and apologized for in 2012. And now they’re doing the same with other people, like Dan Harmon and Sarah Silverman, cause apparently they’ve forgotten what a joke is and are incapable of seeing change in a human being’s behaviour.
