Little God

God is just a thought up in the sky, A primal urge to explain existence. ..and we're all just apes plagued with emotion, an evolutionary flaw it would seem. Abandonment comes in swells like a cold ocean current. It's salted sting kisses the ragged edges of the man I was, slowly weathering this husk I've become. Cruelty When the Love you swore you felt becomes scab Begging to be pulled from skin To let the pain run out your veins I'd make a promise to myself To never feel again But truth be told I'm still an open wound I'm just waiting to be filled I'm just waiting

Called to the Void

I want to be a mist that hangs above the still lake before the violent storm Barely present but unable to be removed I want to evaporate at will To reform somewhere new To linger at the furthest edge of the World And look back with no recollection Of time Or space I want to be the dew on every hillside The winter ivory of each peak And at the end of this journey I want to be lost to darkness Crushing and inescapable

When those you care for most cast you in a light with half truths, hoping to catch the eyes of those who stole their gaze from you….

That’s when you know this depression isn’t “temporary”.

That’s when you know you’re at the bottom.

Rob me of my dignity, paint your chosen scene.

Cast the blame, run the chord, anchors away.

26 might not come

5 years from now

person 1: Obama... wasn't that the one who beat the previous standing record for deportations, bombed 7 countries within 6 years, and authorized indefinite detention of US citizens?
person 2: Haha noo, he's the one who legalized gay marriage (:

Real Photos of Earth

When you spend your entire life glued to the surface by gravity, it’s easy to detach from the wider universe and forget that your home is a giant sphere of rock, hurtling through space. Images like this give us a perspective not possible from the ground, of a planet just as unique and breathtakingly beautiful as all the others in our solar system.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun, orbiting at a distance of 150 million kilometres. It exhibits versatile and ever-changing features such as mountains, volcanoes, valleys, canyons, and plains, and unlike the other terrestrial planets, it is an ocean planet, with liquid water covering 70% of its surface. It has no rings, one Moon, and over 2,000 artificial satellites in orbit.

It is the only known planet to harbour life.
