ahhh I don't know! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to zoom in and I just can't make it out. There's that one, the tally marks (which we know what those mean) and the little one on his finger.

Got confirmation from Lauren Oliver (creator/writer of both the book and the scripts) that the tattooed tally marks on Ray’s back are a countdown of the number of years his father’s been in prison - 18 if you count. He literally marked himself for every year he’s been alone. I really don’t think I’ll handle it if he doesn’t get his happy ever after.
