grant ward joined the resistance to protect skye from hydra

grant ward didn’t want to move in with skye because he was afraid that she would find out about his past

grant ward vouched for simmons, a complete stranger, and allowed her and coulson to get into the shield base because they knew skye

grant ward was reckless and went out to try to find skye on his own

grant ward called her daisy for the first time because he realized she wasn’t his skye

grant ward did everything daisy asked even though he would be putting himself at risk because he knew it was the right thing to do and because he still wanted to protect her

grant ward just wants his skye back

i didn’t think skyeward could ever hurt me like this again but i was so so so wrong

This is the difference one person can have on your life. In the Framework, Grant Ward suffered the same childhood as he did in the real world, but under the influence of Victoria Hand, he learned how to be a good man.

Ward was not born evil. His abusive past did not make him destined to be a bad man. It was the influence of just one person - John Garrett - who set him down that dark path. And in the Framework, it’s the influence of just one person - Victoria Hand - who shows him a different path, one where he can be good.

It’s been a long time coming but I’m glad the show is finally addressing this.

Here are some tv show/movie villians/bad boys that have murdered or hurt other people multiple times but we still find them attractive/like them because they are fucking fictional characters:

Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (Star Wars)

Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars)

Klaus Mikaelson (The Originals)

Joker (Suicide Squad)

Jaime Lannister (Game of Thrones)

Ramsay Bolton (Game of Thrones)

Loki (The Avengers)

Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)

Malachai Parker (The Vampire Diaries)

Grant Ward (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

Negan (The Walking Dead)

AIDA be like:

“Hey guys, welcome to my AU fic of Agents of SHIELD. Just letting you guys know, there’ll be lots of Skyeward and Mackelena family feels, Phil as a teacher, and May as a HYDRA agent. Also, I’m hella anti-Fitzsimmons. Jemma’s dead in my fic because I hate that bitch. Also, just FYI, I’m shipping myself with Fitz. I know this is hella self-inserting but it’s gonna be awesome! Make sure to leave a kudos and a review and let me know if you want me to continue this fic.” 🙂🙂🙂

More older fanart… mock comic covers for my Wardlok AU headcanon in which Mike, Kara and Grant form their own ragtag team. Still dear to my heart.

Ward is not a rapist. Yeah, he lied to May, but he never coerced her. What they had was consensual sex between to consenting adults. He never threatened to rape Skye, their conversation wasn’t about sex. It is one line taken out of context. It’s context is his conversation with Raina.

Ward was raped. Had Ward not been under Lorelei’s spell, he would not have slept with her. Her magic took away his right to consent. Therefore, it was rape.

Ward was abused. His brother and perhaps his parents beat him. That was physical. His brother forcing him to beat up his brother was mental. Garrett was almost worse, if not more so. Garrett took away his choice. He broke a sixteen year old boy out of juvie and left him alone in the woods, with a bag of clothes and a dog. Ward’s only other option would be to give and return to prison, where his sentence would be much more severe. Garrett manipulated him, telling him that he was weak if he turned back. Garrett was Ward’s only human interaction for five years. Five crucial years in his development. Ward felt like Garrett turned him into a man, someone who could stand up and fight. Garrett made Ward feel like he owed him everything. This was an abusive relationship.

Ward did care about the team. He had felt like Garrett was the only one who gave a damn about him for fifteen years. He was with the team for six months. How was six months supposed to suddenly make him forget the last fifteen years of his life and make him good. Just because he followed Garrett did not mean he didn’t care about the team. And he hated himself for caring.

These are the facts about Grant Ward. Like him or loathe him, this is the truth
