This is my "office" this sumer, we just got the sewing stuff set up.  Broke a bobbin case for the Juki which was very sad (broke three needles in 1 day...) but I think we have fixed everything and we get the Bobbin case tomorrow so we can start stitching up "Duluth" packs.  Also we were totally eating cheese and crackers to manage our defeat after breaking the bobbin case. Going to work tomorrow because we need to have gear ready for trips going out in the next week, even though its a day off...

Ill post more pictures in like 10 days when Im in town again.  I can totally email though (if any one wants to talk to me :D), our internet just can't handle social media stuff because we have 16 gigs a month for 5 people who need internet plus 50 other staff who want email and other things.

So Today (after I go to sleep and wake up again) I am heading up north, i'm going to have no cell service and very little internet.  Its going to be nice to be "home" though.  So ill update this when I get into town but might not be able to otherwise.  It would always be fun to see messages when I get into town from any of ya'll.

I wish every day started with a “previously on” so that I’d know which of my life’s plot points were going to be important that day

"cool lol" tHEYRE ACTUALLY TESTING TO FIND OUT IF WE’RE LIVING INSIDE A COMPUTER SIMULATION AND YOUR RESPONSE TO THAT IS

"COOL LOL"

They’ve done the tests, and have evidence that our universe may actually be a simulation: http://www.nature.com/news/simulations-back-up-theory-that-universe-is-a-hologram-1.14328

It’s less that we may be living within a computer simulation, but more like the foundations of our universe ( the laws of physics) are written on a lower dimensional plane, and the observable universe that we see is a projection (simulation) up onto a higher dimension.

not sure what i would do if it turned out to be true

Just so you know the oldest person in America is a black woman living in Detroit named Jeralean Talley. That’s right - she was born in 1899. That’s three centuries she’s lived in. She was on  bowling team till she was 104. She still goes to church. This woman saw prohibition, women’s suffrage, the civil rights movement, two world wars, a list of other dumb shit, all the way to the birth of the internet and of her great-great grandson, a child who’s 14 months old. Like!

Outliving all these whites out here! Go granny Talley!

Ellen Page is so brave. Can you imagine being a gay woman and pretending you’re attracted to Michael Cera

My family is from Nigeria, and my full name is Uzoamaka, which means “The road is good.” Quick lesson: My tribe is Igbo, and you name your kid something that tells your history and hopefully predicts your future. So anyway, in grade school, because my last name started with an A, I was the first in roll call, and nobody ever knew how to pronounce it. So I went home and asked my mother if I could be called Zoe. I remember she was cooking, and in her Nigerian accent she said, “Why?” I said, “Nobody can pronounce it.” Without missing a beat, she said, “If they can learn to say Tchaikovsky and Michelangelo and Dostoyevsky, they can learn to say Uzoamaka.”
