"Well, lets continue anyway." The young elven boy mutters, then commands attention.
"We will now begin the first set of Games, our Tests of Strength! Various vendors have set up High Strikers, also known as Hammer Games in the area for all to try, free of charge! Challenge your friends, impress the public, let that bell ring, even I can do it! That's not all, but over to our fields we've cleared a 100 meter area for a javelin throw competition. Take a run to the line and throw as far as you can, our judges will not only factor in your distance, but technique and athleticism. Try as often as you like. If simple sports doesn't tickle your fancy, we've a ring set up for wrestling if you wish to challenge someone up close and personal. Do not take weapons into the wrestling ring.
Judges are hidden among the public, those who show particular talent will be awarded a Medal of Strength when the three main categories end tonight."

Introduction (8/3 - 8/6)
It's noon, Lughnasadh. Crowds of townsfolk and tourists are flocking west of the town gate for the yearly celebration. There's no shortage of merchants seeking to trade, offering samples and advertising their craft and all around there is a cheerful, sporty atmosphere. Atop an adorned look-out beacon, an elven child stands. He appears no more than 12 years of age, but he presents with a mature aura and clear spoken voice, with a hint of cheek.
"Welcome to Taillteann! Thank you for coming here today for our annual Lughnasadh festival! Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the area and settle in, our competitions will start once enough people have arrived. My name is Tenka, and I'll be overlooking the festivities today! Please allow me to summarize the event. Over the course of the evening, there will be various competitions of three categories, the first being strength. We will hold multiple contests per category at the same time, so you may pick your preference, or participate in all if you so choose. I will announce when the category changes. The area is safe and under watch, please do not approach any wild animals, the medical tent is by the beacon, blah blah blah, you get the point, be safe. Ah! Most importantly, as this event runs a full 24 hours, we have provided temporary accommodation for you to rest if you so wish, our mage has cast soundproofing spells on the tents, so you may relax in peace at any time. Thank you for listening and enjoy the festivities, I'll be back shortly to announce the start of the Tests of Strength! If you have any questions, I'll be here for most of the day!"
((I've decided to give this festivities a little twist by letting people roll dice to add some RNG to their outcomes. Writers can combine it with their character's canon to create unique scenarios. Eg. "My weak character rolled high, he did better than expected." or "My character is really skilled, but the roll was so low that he failed hilariously." Writers can choose to ignore the option to roll a die if they already have an idea, but the idea for the die is to give a variable that allows for more creativity. There's no penalty to people who ignore/fake/edit their dice rolls, but there's no advantage either. It's for fun. The die can be found here, and it rolls between 1 and 20.
Note: Future segments for this event will be ending/starting at Midnight PST. This segment will end at 11:59PM on August 6th and the follow up segment will begin at 12:00AM on August 7th.

Join us for the Taillteann Games! (Mabinogi Roleplay Event)
It's but another lovely summer's day in Erinn. The sun is beaming, and the cool climate and gentle winds are why it’s dubbed “Paradise.” Within every town, upon every bulletin board, a specific poster keeps catching your eye.
"Join us for the Taillteann Games, this Lughnasadh! A traditional celebration of life dedicated to the legendary mother, Tailtiu, and to welcome the start of the harvest season! Join the celebrations with trades of craft, harvest, and livestock! Show the limits of your minds and bodies with our festival of athletic competitions! The finale of the event will be a marathon-style mounted race around a set path in Uladh! The event shall begin midday, west of Taillteann, on the hill south of the Stonehenge near the beacon, and run for 24 hours. Food will be provided, Barbecues will be held throughout the night. Disclaimers: The Kingdom of Aliech welcomes those of all races to join us for this event. Accommodation will be provided. We can provide mounts for those unable to bring their own. While the rules of the race shall be explained prior, we strictly request that no Nimbus or Motor Vehicles enter the race. The Aliech Regime is not responsible for any injury or death inflicted during the event."

This is a blog that holds tumblr-based roleplay events for the Mabinogi community. We’ve held several events in the past, which you can check out by looking at our blog and clicking the “Previous Events” link! (or other links on the blog i mean theres like a lot)
So if you’ve participated in any of these events you probably recognize us. We are planning to hold a summer themed RP event in 2 months, and we would like to know what you want to see us do!

Mabinogi: Sabotage
Citizens of Erinn. The time has come for you to fight back against the evil that resides outside our galaxy. Seemingly overnight, our world was invaded by a terrifying alien force! They may return any day now, so what we need is an army to protect our world!
That’s where you come in, citizen. We need every single able bodied Milletian, Tuatha, Fomor, or otherwise to keep our world safe from these invaders!
If you have what it takes to join the elite squadron of the Erinn Armada Repository of Worldwide Armed Xenofighters (whose acronym is quite unfortunate), stay tuned for further information.

December 29th - January 3rd
As the night comes to an end, the year follows close. The magic once again dissipates, and all the guests are returned to their original bodies. Just in time for our final event too!
A fireworks show is prepared for our guests. Join us on the balcony as we say farewell to this year and greet the new one with high hopes. A promise of a new tomorrow. A sign of good things to come.
Just because our party is coming to an end, that doesn't mean the fun has to! Once you’re done with your “oohs” and “aahs”, feel free to interact with the other party goers. Exchange resolutions! Brag about your accomplishments! Theorize who on Erinn is that weird Crystal Bearer guy! Whatever! Enjoy yourselves! Tomorrow will come on its own time. But this night is yours!
[This event will conclude the Mabinogi Year's End Festival. If you have not finished any previous events, feel free to wrap them up. Since there will be no prizes for contestants for this event, you are allowed to continue your RPing for as long as you desire. However, mabinogifestivities will no longer be monitoring it on January 3rd.

December 19th - December 23rd
The light of the chandelier fades, and the magic on the balcony has all but dissipated. Just as well, as the chefs have prepared a magnificent feast for everyone on the ground floor! Take a break from your dancing to gorge on the delectable banquet presented to you!
Of course, the festivities are not limited to just eating. Feel free to engage in conversation with the other party goers! Happiness for one person surely means bliss for two, right? Does anyone say that? No one? Well, you get the idea. Find out who else showed up! How did the other events go? Try to find some familiar faces! The end of the year only comes… once… a year… after all!
By the way! If you wish to reactivate the effects of the 3rd event for any reason, just make direct contact with the glowing sphere placed on the balcony! But please be aware that this will reapply the effect for the rest of the festivities!

Event 3 Extension
So it has occurred to me that the last few days have been hectic for a lot of people, due to final exams. As such, few people have been able to make or respond to posts.
For that reason, Event 3 will be extended by 3 days. The final day will be December 18th, and Event 4 will begin on December 19th. Sorry for the inconvenience!
December 11th - December 15th
Make your way to the balcony if you aren’t there already! The next event is about to begin! From the skies above, strange objects are floating down to Erinn! Heading… right for you? Each box has a name on it, and a number. Wait a minute, this is the number you wrote on the entrance form!
Well, they went through so much work getting these boxes wrapped up, didn’t they? It’d be a shame to leave it unopened, wouldn’t it? Open it up and see what crazy magic the Crystal Bearer is using this time! Just make sure there’s a good 10 feet between you and the other party goers.
December 6th - December 10th
With your partner in tow, the next event will soon begin! On the second floor of the crystal castle is a magnificent ballroom! Hanging above the dance floor is a translucent crystal chandelier, reflecting the light of the sky above through its prisms. The celestial lights are shining vividly and casting a incredible stream of light onto the ground beneath your feet.
Needless to say, it looks really pretty. As it’s all yours to dance your cares away on. Celebrate your achievements throughout the year, or just hold your partner close and bask in the crystalline aurora. Or if you’re not the dancing type, the balconies are open. The orchestra’s music resonates out of the castle, so you have a plethora of options. So just cut a rug and enjoy yourself!
Take this time to have a little fun with your partner! The Year's End festivities have only just begun~

Event 1: Toying with your Expectations
November 30th - December 5th
For this event, each applicant has been placed into two separate pools. The first pool will receive or has received a piece of paper with the name of a toy on it. The other half have been moved to the basement and turned into a variety of toys.

The Year's End Festival will begin in two days!
There's still time to sign up if you haven't already. The application can be found here. And if you have signed up already, the castle's ground floor is now open to all guests! It's not mandatory that you arrive early, but due to the nature of the events the transition will be quick. So if you're itching to make an event post, feel free to go ahead and make your presence known!
[By the way, it turns out I have less time to work on things in personal life than I thought, so for that reason I am going to be handing out the prompts for the first event on the 30th instead. The event will not officially begin until the 1st, but the prompts will still be available for everyone who signed up.

Year's End Festival
Greetings and salutations!
You may refer to me as The Crystal Bearer. If you have received my letter (and don’t worry, if you’re reading this you have) then you are cordially invited to a little festival to celebrate the end of this year! With my magnificent power, I have constructed a glorious crystal castle in northern Vales, and it is now open to all guests!
Our Year End Festival shall take place throughout the entirety of December, and shall consist of many… strange events. And you, my dear guest, are invited to join us for this event of fun, food, dance, and a little Year End magic here and there.
If you are interested, fill out the form below and reinsert it into this envelope. You are more than welcome to arrive early, but our events will not begin until the 1st of December.
Regarding the Samhain Feast and the future.
Hello! As you guys know Samhain Feast has been a generally non restrictive event. There is no technical end date, so generally all of you who are currently participating feel free to take your time. Those of you who would be interested in doing the prompts in the future are totally welcome to too, even if it’s many weeks/months or so as the prompts were originally intended as sort of single person fast prompts so you could do them without anyone else or if the host is still needed one only needs to @ or tag nekyua/ or asknekyu.
Very soon though another event will be coming up on mabinogifestivities and I wanted to inform you of this so you could know that you can continue however pace you want on Feast without worry, or finish up to get ready for the next events.
