The kiss was returned with as much hast and urgency as the other had given, mouth opening to accommodate Sasori’s actions; hands rising to rest upon shoulders— Fingers tightening into the cloth as if letting go would mean he would disappear before him. He had missed this, though not as much as he had missed the man’s presence alone.
The palm against his chin was warm— A comfort if nothing else, a reminder and a promise. No matter how far away the Commander was, no matter how hard the road back to him; he would always make it. He would always return and the Kazekage felt the silent promise in the gentle caress.
The Commander allowed to kiss to linger a few moments longer, palm still cupping the younger's cheek to continue it. Sasori would never be able to be described as a patient type of person and Gaara certainly knew that better than anyone, but that, by no means, meant that he was the type to remove the Kazekage from his duty simply to indulge himself.
Slowly, the scorpion pulled away until their lips were no longer touching and a smirk smoothed over his amused expression. "... Surely you have work to get back to, Kazeage-sama," Sasori said easily, tone low. "I did just as you asked, now I think it's time for you to get bak to your office and finish that stack of paperwork that's surely been piling up since my absence."
[/Just sort of, falls against his chest hugging him]
Fingers brushed through the red locks of the Kazekage, then playing with the strands found at the back of his neck lightly. Sasori remained quiet, simply holding the younger in his arms in order to assist in alleviating any stress he may have been experiencing.
”I have my ways to ensure a promise from you, so that you will come to the next one. Therefore my claims will not be false and the village may rest easy that their Commander is actively a part of the Council.”
"Please remind me to never get on your bad side, Tanuki brat... You can be rather frightening when you choose to be."
Carrus Navalis || Karura & Sasori
"Okay," she said as she exited the door, locking it after Sasori stepped out. Even if they were just about to walk under the heat of the sun in Suna, there was a slight bounce in Karura’s step— happy to be out of the house. She never really like being inside for too long.
Karura turned towards Sasori and wrapped her scarf over her head. “Just a few things to buy in the grocery.” For that, she’s thankful Sasori was the one guarding her— not a stranger who thought it best not to speak to their charge. The few times it happened always left an odd feeling lingering in the air.
She started walking. “Do you need anything along the way?” Karura offered, “Perhaps we can get it too. Save you some time?”
It was hard to remain a completely stoic character when in the company of someone who was so light-hearted and friendly no matter the situation. He'd grown used to her antics by then, considering how long they'd known one another, but it was his duty to be a guard as well as a friend so long as the Yondaime was away from the village.
The first thing he'd noticed was the fact that there seemed to be more citizens -- and even shinobi themselves out and about on the streets in pairs and groups of three or more. It surely wasn't unheard of, of curse, but strange nonetheless. Sasori followed his charge closely, senses on high purely out of habit and eyes focused everywhere to catch any possible threat to the Kazekage's wife and mother of his children.
The redhead shook his head lightly in response to her question, "There's no reason to waste your time to purchase things that I'm in need of... and I'm sure that I'm stocked on my supplies either way." Giving a short hum, he bowed his head slightly in respect. It was necessary to do in public, considering their differing status'. "But I thank you for the offer nonetheless."
He gave another pause, once again scanning the crowd. "... Were you notified of some sort of event that may be going on..? I'm afraid being in public is the least of my priorities so I'm not familiar with any schedule."
The blonde’s expression matched the other’s; a sour scowl.
"I-It’s pretty urgent." It wasn’t easy for her to ask for such a huge favor. How dare he deny her needs?
"F-Fine, but if any of your puppets gets a visit from mother nature, I’m not telling you the best brand to buy. Suffer the consequences."
Ino grumbled nonsense to herself as she frustratingly pushed open the door to the mart, making sure she sneaked past Shikamaru’s gaze. From here on out, she would have to depend on herself. How to pull this off?
Red brows pulled downward in irritation at the insinuation that his art would be susceptible to the bodily functions of females. The scorpion scoffed lightly as he tucked his purchase under his arm.
"I can assure you that none of them will be going through any processes any time soon, so you can rest easy regarding my consequences." Hed rolled his eyes and began walking toward the exit only to end up following her out by pure consequence.
"You have friends that are more prepared for this sort of thing, I'm sure..."
