She smiled, watching him admire the huge mecha’s and the fighting styles. “their pretty nice, i also like this.” she dug in her bag and pulled out a thick manga, the first in the sailormoon line. “it might be a little girlly for you how ever.”

          “Hm?" Mercury nabbed the thick novel and stared at the cover...

                     It was some kind of action manga? Upon looking inside, he wasn't completely wrong, though the shoujo art was a bit of a turn off for him. He knew Sailor Moon pretty well, all things considered.

His friends would call him Sailor Mercury to spite him in middle school. Though he wouldn't tell the Faunus girl that.

He had no reason to. 

"...Oh, Sailor Moon. Yeah it's not my thing." he replied, casually flopping the book onto the table, as if to rid himself of it.

Mercury almost immediately draws his attention back to Velvet, having a few questions on his mind. "So, what are you? Some kinda otaku?" He was one to talk... what with his  slight obsession with a 'certain' comic line.

She smiled slightly at his interest. “Oh this? just an old comic i found in the corner.” she shrugged modestly and slipped it shut, sliding it toward him. she gave him a tiny smile. “It’s called gundam wing after colony” she murmured

          "Gundam? Oh, thanks... " he bumbled.  Mercury hesitated slightly before picking it up from off the table. Though once it was in his possession he stared at it with doe eyes, flipping through each page to admire the artwork... not really bothering with the words.

"...This... looks really cool. --I like the pictures."

"Oh um….hello" velvet looked up from her comic book, looking at the male shyly.

          "Hm? Hey. --- A Faunus, huh?" Mercury lifted a brow curiously. They were few and far between, but not completely uncommon, right?

          Suddenly his eyes were drawn to the comic book the girl was reading.

"...W--What'cha got there?" he asked, legitimately curious.
