what's with all the hiatuses lately?
(What indeed, anonymous? Let me explain:
I spend the majority of my week in school. At the current moment, I am slowly pulling out of a two-month series of back-to-back drama, and I’m talking things as serious as fake self-harm threats. I’m in my senior year of high school, so I have to focus on college paperwork, graduation, scholarships, and keeping my grades up so that I pass for the year. I still have commissions that I’m doing, even if I’m going a bit slow right now.
I have also found out that, when my attention is as stretched thin as it is, I am very bad at managing multiple blogs.
I can only keep my creativity focused on a couple things at a time, and honestly, I’m having a ton more fun over on Layton and Luke (and Alfendi Layton was recently added as a muse so he’s there too I guess). I actually feel their muse right now, so that’s where my attention is. And even then I barely have time there because I’m so busy with everything else.
I’m really sorry to the followers of mine who have been diligently following me, even through all this. You guys are amazing, and I’m sorry to keep doing this to you.

“Yep! He’s a real grump, though.” That’s putting it lightly.
Dante couldn’t help but let out another chuckle at that display of Laine’s.Reminds him of better times.“Heh, I won’t argue that.”
“Gotcha. Interesting…” Dante couldn’t help but be a bit worried at the ‘not like magic users’ thing. That could be trouble.
“I’ve still got things to do around here, so tell you what. If I run into them again, I’ll get the info on what they were doing. One way or another.” As if to emphasize his point, red lightning crackled around him for a second or so.

“Whoa--!”
Laine and Zane jumped back, feeling the hairs on the back of their necks stand on end thanks to the lightning. Their glance at each other said it all: do not piss off Dante. But they had to wonder, what else did he have control over?
“If ya did that, we’d really appreciate it. Unlike you, we’re not bulletproof. Would be hard t’get any info outta them.”
Zane nodded in agreement as he rung out his static-filled hair.

Dante watched the display of magic, expression turning to one of definite interest.
“That’s pretty cool! Heh, that sword thing reminds me of something my brother does, Laine.” tfw summoned swords.
“Yep, demons. They have a nasty habit of popping up every now and then, and I’m one of the few people qualified to exterminate them.”
“Anyways, what brings you two here? Not often I have an audience like this.”

“Oh, you’ve got a brother, too?”
Laine grinned and slung her arm around Zane’s shoulders, pulling him closer. “Well, sorry t’say, Dante, but no one could ask for a better brother than Zane.”
Zane’s face flushed red, but his grin matched Laine’s.
“Anyway, th’ two of us were jus’ makin’ rounds.” She flicked the V-shaped pin attached to her chest. “We’re from a city’a magic users, and, uh... well, guys like Kaiser don’t like us too much. The fact that they were pretty close to th’ city ain’t a good sign...”

“Ouch. Well, I’m especially not feeling bad for gunning them down now.” No mercy.
“Pleasure to meet you both! And magic users, huh? Can’t say I dabble in magic all that often, so that’s pretty cool.”
Dante waves back to Zane, letting out a little chuckle.
“Ah, no worries about that.” Dante is an understanding man…! “Demons. I was hunting for one here before those guys interrupted me… but I get the feeling they might have been my target after all. Call it a hunch.” OH, BURN!

“Yeah, we’ve both got magic!”
Laine summoned her swords which were straight contrary to the icon and brandished them proudly.
After a moment’s hesitation, Zane raised a hand, and tendrils burst from his and Laine’s shadows.
“Demons...?”
The twins simultaneously tilted their heads in confusion. Magic was something completely normal to them, but demons?
Laine’s swords vanished as she snorted in amusement. “Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised. Those fuckers can rot in hell for all I care.”
Zane nodded, lowering his hands and casting the tendrils back into the shadows.

“Sounds like they’d be real pleasant to hang around with, I’m sure.” You can almost taste the sarcasm.
“I think the biggest concern is that a few of them clipped my coat. That gets annoying to keep patching up.”
Dante stretched his arms, taking a second or so to fully appreciate the carnage he’s caused.
“Name’s Dante, stylish hunter extraordinaire. How about you?”
The demon hunter makes sure all his weapons are properly put away, not wanting to accidentally scare off these folk.

"I spent seven years with ‘em. Real pleasant, ‘specially when they pistol-whip ya. That’s super fun.” Who let these two sarcastic asshole be in the same vicinity.
“Nice t’meetcha, Dante. M’name’s Laine, uh, Light-magic user extraordinaire.” She jabbed her thumb at the boy hiding behind her. “This is my twin brother, Zane, Darkness-magic user extraordinaire.”
Zane only gave a small wave to Dante. Laine reached a hand behind her and patted his head.
“Don’t be too upset wit’ Zane. He’s not too good wit’ new people.” Of course, both twins new it was because Zane was terrified of Dante, but it was better to just say something like that. “Whaddya hunt, Dante?”

Many things came up in our lives, and we became so busy that we could barely sit down between cases.
