Secret to getting to know other fans on tumblr is reblogging. This sounds like a trap to get you guys to reblog art and fics and gifs which yes that’s an added benefit but also the way you get a feel of followers or mutuals is the little comments in the tags of a post like subtle little whispers and you start to recognise names like oh that’s the one who’s always nice to artists or that’s the funny one or maybe they have a funny queue pun tag or maybe there can be a little prev tags interaction like that’s how you start creating your own little likeminded souls club here. Also you get to put pretty art and fics and gifs on your blog

it's funny how dark romance and its modern era most certainly finds its edginess in making the male love interest a certified war criminal, nothing more. forget about "dark" relating to the actual dynamic between love interests. this isn't going to explore that. no. haven't you heard? that's a thing of the past, if it ever was. dark romance could be about exploring toxic dynamics, adventuring in kink, telling stories with bdsm, dom/sub, cnc, ragdoll forceful fucking while calling someone a cumwhore, hell, even a little breeding kink, but no. we're not gonna do that. we're gonna instead make toxic = wild guy. crazy guy. batshit insane guantanamo bay imprisonment levels of criminal psychological tendencies guy. not the girl, because since when has this story been about her? oh yeah. we're ready for the thirtieth version of mafia serial killer nympho billionaire prince cartel boss calling in a debt and the protagonist being My Parents Sold Me to One Direction'd. bravo.

I tried to find the comic below on the Tumblr page for The Oatmeal, @oatmeal , but couldn't find it posted here, only on their other socials. Every year, at the dawning of a new year, I like to revisit this comic, as it holds some very important advice, that I think is often overlooked.

Happy new year to you all! I hope this year brings many wonderful and amazing experiences to us, I hope the year is filled with joy, laughter, and most of all -- kindness. ❤️
