So I just finished watching Persona 3 : Falling Down, and as a huge fan of the series, I am quite impressed with the movies so far. I love the animation, and while I would prefer a proper anime series, the movies are segmented beautifully. This 3rd movie revolves around a theme: the fear of losing someone close. We see it happening to almost all the characters, something I don't recall seeing in the game.
I think the most beautiful and tragic tale here is that of Junpei and Chidori. I already know how things pan out from playing the game, but to see the whole scene come to life on screen is just... a whole new level of feels. And when Fuuka confronted her friend who was leaving her, I almost teared up. While Persona 3 is generally more dark compared to our favourite Persona 4, Persona 3 does have its moments of humor, like the hot spring scene that I think was nailed pretty well, if not better than the games.

***SUPER LONG TRANSFORMERS GEEK POST(sorry that it isn't Persona related!)*** Recently shifting my "interest of the month" from Warcraft to Transformers, I have started watching the Transformers movies again. Apart from the 1st movie (and maybe the recent AoE), I find the Transformers movies having room for improvement. Not that I'm in any position to say, but I feel that a better trilogy (or more) could have been done. Below is a SOMEWHAT brief idea I have for a trilogy, called "War Within", "Devastation" and "Unicron" respectively. Script-writing is not my profession, and I didn't really think into too much details, so there may be loopholes. But this is a general idea of the stories I have for a trilogy, with potential for side stories. Humans are not a focus in this trilogy, with 0 humans entirely in the 1st movie. I'm not sure if having no human presence in the film would make it less appealing, but this is TRANSFORMERS, you shouldn't mind it being all about robots! Also, removing unnecessary deaths of main characters, which I feel is overdone in the Bayformers films. I'd prefer movies that tell stories with nods to the comics we love, and not always be on the destruction of some huge city. Also, I would probably make the Transformers more comic-accurate, giving them vehicle modes same as their comics-counterpart. And, unlike Bayformers, you can't just pop the hood of the Autobot and see normal car parts. It doesn't make sense that Bumblebee had a relatively empty car hood but have so much "meat" in robot mode. Bayformers' robots may seem a bit too advanced; I would go for a simpler look more similar to the comics version. __________________________________________________ 1) Transformers: War Within Inspired by the comics of the same name (and the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games), this movie will be on Cybertron, focusing on the war raging there and Optimus Prime being shoved to take up the Matrix of Leadership. The movie begins with Megatron killing the previous Prime (Sentinel Prime), with plans to conquer Cybertron. Optronix is chosen to be the new leader, thus becoming Optimus Prime, despite his lack of military combat. Hurled into the battlefield, he has to lead his team (Team Prime) of and Elita-One, Bumblebee, Jazz, Prowl, Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack into battle, along with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe(and a few other notable Autobots). The team, being veterans of war already, are not very confident of Optimus Prime's leadership, seeing him as a burden. Bumblebee is the kind young Autobot who feels that Optimus should be given a chance to prove himself, while others like Ironhide shrugs him off as a liability. Elita-One, an elite female warrior valuable to the Autobot resistance, despises Optimus the most. Despite being a high-ranking officer, she was assigned to guide Optimus, much to her disdain. In one of the earliest engagements, Optimus learns the ways of war, almost losing his life in his hesitation of taking one. Bumblebee throws himself in front of Optimus to take a hit thanks to his fatal mistake, leaving Optimus devastated by his liability and the team upset. Bumblebee barely survived, thanks to Ratchet, and Elita-One pulls Optimus to one side, telling him that if he doesn’t want to live, at least don’t take others with him. As the two factions clashed more, Optimus gets more skillful in the arts of war. Once, Optimus even saves Elita-One from a Deception that attempted to attack her from behind, losing the arm he used to shield her from the attack. “No sacrifice, no victory.” He says, as Elita-One takes down the assailant. From Optimus’ acts of bravery, she begins to soften up to him. Seeing the battle going nowhere, Megatron, realizing that the Matrix of Leadership could grant him the ultimate Decepticon army he needed to reign Cybertron, marks Optimus Prime as a target, bent on killing him and taking his Matrix. Along with his treacherous second-in-command Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave, Megatron leads his Decepticons (like the Insecticons and Seekers) to assault the Autobots’ encampments, in order to lure Optimus out. The Autobots, knowing of Megatron’s plans and fearing that Optimus would not stand a chance, choose to keep Optimus out of the Decepticon’s reaches. For weeks, Team Prime wages war at various areas, but never staying long enough for Megatron to reach Optimus. Eventually, Megatron finds Team Prime, and lauches a massive assault. Megatron and Optimus Prime engage in combat, the former clearly a better combatant due to years of experience. Realizing that they did not stand a chance, the Autobots retreated. During the escape from the Decepticons, Elita One sacrifices herself to give the rest, especially Optimus Prime, precious time needed to make their escape. Enraged by the loss, Optimus Prime decides to end the war once and for all, declaring one final clash against the Decepticons. An epic battle ensues, and Optimus Prime sacrifices himself to take down Megatron, using the Matrix to leave both leaders almost dead. With this victory, the Autobots were able to wipe out most of the Decepticons. Shockwave takes command, after defeating Starscream over it, and plans to let the Decepticons retreat to heal their wounds, carrying their dead leader back with them. The Autobots use the time to rebuild Cybertron, while Ratchet uses a lot of energon in order to bring Optimus Prime back to health. In order to heal their own leader, Shockwave sends a group of Decepticons (along with the comatized Megatron), to search for an alternate source of Energon in space. Optimus, along with Team Prime, sets out in the Ark to pursue them. Their engagement while in hyperdrive hurls the two ships into an unknown sector of the universe, near Earth. The two ships crash onto Earth some distance from each other, and the robots are all knocked offline. The scene shows that they landed in the prehistoric era, and a lone gorilla stares at the Ark. As the scene closes, the pupils of the gorilla adjusts mechinically, hinting that there was more than meets the eye with it. __________________________________________________ 2) Transformers: Devastation Present day, a volcanic eruption causes the Ark to re-activate, and it proceeds to repair the Autobots. The Ark is located somewhere deep in the mountains of Japan. Around the same time, the Decepticons’ ship also gets re-activated, and the reawakened Decepticons analyze the area. Focusing first on recon, Soundwave reconfigures to be a casette player, hiding in the belongings of a human near the area. The human is Spike Witwicky, who is on a school excursion on energy conversion in Japan. He moved to Japan with his dad from the US, after his dad got posted to work in Japan. Soundwave realizes that Earth has many resources to convert into Energon, and sends the Decepticons to collect Energon. He first makes them reconfigure to disguise as vehicles found in a nearby military base, so as to infiltrate the base and take their energy. The stealth mission was a success, but as they leave, Starscream defies orders and destroys the base, justifying that if they did not, they would be tracked. The Autobots hear of this incident, and realize that the Decepticons are alive and roaming Earth. Optimus gets the team to find alternate modes to disguise, as they did not want to alert the humans of their presence. With that, the Autobots explore Tokyo in their vehicle modes, trying to get intel and understanding the humans. Jazz joins an illegal street race, and is winning until the police start to chase them. With the help of Prowl, who is disguised as a police car, they are able to escape pursuit. All this while, the Decepticons are bringing Megatron back to health, despite Starscream’s reluctance to help. He attempts to assasinate the asleep Megatron, who wakes up just in time to catch him by surprise and kills Starscream instead. Elsewhere, Soundwave overhears Spike talking who his dad Sparkplug, who is apparently a IT specialist at the base the Decepticons attacked. Realizing that Sparkplug was a witness who would eventually leaked the presence of Decepticons to the world, he reveals himself, confronting Sparkplug. Spike tries to escape, with the insistence of his father, and Soundwave sends Ravage after him. Bumblebee happens to be nearby, and notices Ravage chasing down Spike. Unable to stay in disguise, Bumblebee transforms and defends Spike from Ravage, who retreats. As Spike stares in a mix of fear and awe, Bumblebee introduces himself and pleads to the human to keep his presence a secret. Spike tells him about his dad, and they rush back to Spike’s home only to realize that both Soundwave and Sparkplug are gone. Not able to leave Spike alone, Bumblebee brings him back to the Autobots. In the Decepticons’ hidden base, Megatron resumes control over the Decepticons. Unable to communicate with Cybertron, he decides to control this energon-rich planet. And to do so, Megatron decides to create an unstoppable force. He realizes that in the finale of the Cybertronian war, Optimus using the Matrix on them both caused Megatron to have some Matrix energy, allowing him to instill life into robots, although it would take out a lot of life out of him and he would require a lot of time to recuperate. He accidentally discovers this power when he somehow revived the murdered Starscream, who begs for forgiveness. Soundwave returns with Sparkplug as his prisoner, and tells his leader that the Autobots are not only alive, but also now are alerted of their presence. Megatron decides to move up his plans, sending the seekers (led by Starscream) to scan some vehicles for his new robots and acquire parts. The seekers assault a massive construction site, and the Autobots move out to apprehend the Decepticons. A clash ensues, and fortunately for them, no humans are around the site. Megatron, seeing Optimus Prime there, decides to join the fray. While they clash, Soundwave gathers schematics and parts for the robots with the seekers, and the Decepticons retreat. The Autobots cheer over their victory, although Optimus is skeptical. Megatron instills life into 5 vehicles scanned at the construction site, calling them Constructicons. Soundwave reports of a UN meeting being held in Tokyo in two days’ time, and Megatron decides to strike on that day. The day comes and the Decepticons reveal their presence to the humans, Megatron confident that his Constructicons would easily crush the Autobots. Wanting to lure the Autobots out, Megatron uses Sparkplug as bait. Spike sees the Decepticons and his dad on the news, and alerts the Autobots. Knowing that the Decepticons are definitely up to no good, and the humans are in danger, Optimus calls for the Autobots to roll out. Spike realizes that the attack coincides with the day of the UN meeting on energy saving, and tells his robot pals of his hunch. A huge battle ensues in Tokyo, as the Autobots do their best to stop the Decepticons from reaching the UN meeting location. When it seems that the Autobots are winning, Megatron tells the Constructicons to combine, surprising the Auotobots and even the Decepticons. The Constructicons combine to form Devastator, and the massive being easily breaks through the Autobots’ line of defense. Bumblebee, sneaking around with Spike, manage to locate Sparkplug with Soundwave, and they rescue Sparkplug by engaging Soundwave. Sparkplug suggested using the antennaes from the surrounding towers to scramble the soundwaves in the air, in the hopes of affecting Devastator. Bumblebee disengages from fighting Soundwave and sends the Witwicky family to the radio tower, while avoiding pursuit from the Decepticon seekers. Optimus sends Sideswipe and Sunstreaker to escort Bumblebee, while the rest tried to distract Devastator at least. Optimus confronts Megatron while all this is happening, telling him to surrender. The military arrives, but being unable to differentiate between the good and bad guys, attacks all the robots.Devastator easily destroys the military, while the Autobots try to save any that they can. Sparkplug is able to scramble the soundwaves, affecting the combination of the Constructicons. They are unable to maintain Devastator and fall back into 5 robots, giving the Autobots and the military a chance to take them down. Despite the Decepticons losing, Megatron is hell-bent on killing Optimus, not allowing his team to retreat. Just as Megatron is about to give Optimus the killing shot, he is killed from behind by Starscream, who sneers at the dying Megatron. “You should have killed me when you had the chance, you pathetic fool. You are no longer worthy to lead the Decepticons.” Starscream is about to kill Optimus too, but the other Autobots arrive in time and he retreats. The day is won and the Autobots figure out what to do next. Spike thanks the Autobots for saving his dad, while they are impressed with Sparkplug being able to help defeat Devastator. Optimus meets with the world leaders and they agree to supply resources for the Autobots to return home, but only after the Autobots defeat the Decepticons and bring them back with them. They begin on Project: Space Bridge, and just as things are going well, the Autobots receive an emergency message on the Ark by Ultra Magnus, who warns the Autobots that a threat was about to annihilate Cybertron. A threat called Unicron. __________________________________________________ 3) Transformers: Unicron ...still writing...but would involve the Space Bridge, Spike (now an adult) visiting Cybertron, the introduction of Hot Rod and his team (Kup, Arcee,Ultra Magnus,Springer) ,Megatron revived as Galvatron and accompanied by Scourge, Cyclonus and mysterious silent warrior Nightbird (revealed to be a revived and brainwashed Elita-One), Quintesson controlling Unicron to target Cybertron and Earth, revelation of Dino-Bots (who hint to have been around for a long time, even a period when "there were robots disguised as animals").
