Karwai Pun, GOV.UK:

The dos and don’ts of designing for accessibility are general guidelines, best design practices for making services accessible in government. Currently, there are six different posters in the series that cater to users from these areas: low vision, D/deaf and hard of hearing, dyslexia, motor disabilities, users on the autistic spectrum and users of screen readers.
[…] Another aim of the posters is that they’re meant to be general guidance as opposed to being overly prescriptive. Using bright contrast was advised for some (such as those with low vision) although some users on the autistic spectrum would prefer differently. Where advice seems contradictory, it’s always worth testing your designs with users to find the right balance, making compromises that best suit the users’ needs.

You know, when I was a kid in fandom and I saw a popular ship of, say, a 16 year old and a 25 year old, I was like “of course there’s nothing wrong with this! Age is just a number! Besides, it’s only 9 years!!!” But now that I am an adult, I’m on the other side of that age gap, and frankly I am disgusted. If you’re a teenager, trust me I get it- it’s really easy to see that as ok especially if your identified as “mature for your age” but let me tell you it is not. It is not ok for an adult to be in a romantic or sexual relationship with a child. At all. That adult is 100% taking advantage of that teenager and is competently aware of what they’re doing and it’s gross.

Seriously, was I the only one who really wanted Kara and James together?

I’m kind of surprised by the near unanimous consensus from the critics that this breakup (can we call it a breakup if they didn’t actually date?) was a good thing or that James is a dud character? Have I been watching a different show?

Kara was instantly physically attracted to James. James makes Kara smile. James knows what Kara likes. James and Kara trust each other. James has known about Kara being Supergirl since before the pilot, thus relieving her of the stress of lying to someone she cares about and is interested in having a romantic relationship with. James is endlessly supportive of Kara, but doesn’t put her on a pedestal, and as such is able to call her out on bad decisions and help her work through issues. James and Kara have been shown time and time again to care about each other, protect each other, and be attracted to each other. Kara was jealous of Lucy, because “[She’d] be jealous of anyone [James] loved.”

And yet Supergirl has now decided that Kara and James “are best as friends”. That their relationship somehow felt forced. (x)

There’s no reason Kara shouldn’t take time for herself, to explore this new job opportunity, and find a way to balance work and her personal life. But there’s also no reason why that would mean her ESTABLISHED romantic interest in James would disappear. Also, the idea that James and Kara couldn’t maintain the loving support of their friendship while in a romantic relationship is ridiculous. It’s a failure on the writers part if they couldn’t see a way to advance their relationship and create realistic obstacles for them to overcome, and instead decided to throw away the entire buildup of their relationship in season one in a few patched together scenes in one episode.

I was not a James / Kara shipper, but this is garbage. No reason for them to backpedal on a well established relationship!! That’s just bad writing.

My husband and I started watching Quantico together (which means I can’t just binge watch it - I’m only on episode 9), anD OH MY GOD! HOW STUPID ARE THESE PEOPLE??  Like in episode 6 or 7 Ryan and Shelby blow their cover and they go running straight to Alex.  They couldn’t get on the phone with her and tell her to get her bum out of there because the FBI have probably found her by now, no, they had to go there physically in person and let the FBI track them.  SERIOUSLY!!?

In episode 9 Liam convinces Alex to plead guilty to the attack on the train station, and that seems like the stupidest move ever.  My money is on Liam being the terrorist, which means he tried to frame her, and then when that didn’t work he tricked her into confessing anyway!  “Yes, let me go and catch the bomber while you are in prison *snicker* ... what? nothing.”
