Is the core concept of Super Princess Peach kind of insulting? Yes. Is Super Princess Peach a charming, fun, and underappreciated DS-era platformer? Also yes.

I think the core concept was misunderstood. Princess Peach uses her emotions as a tool to go forward and can control them whereas everyone else is out of control because of theirs. People only look at it on a surface level of 'omg Peach PMS emotional cringe moments' because of what the game looks like, but they should give it a play because people fail to realize she was actually the only character unphased by the emotion wand's power. I think the message was less of an insulting 'omg women are so emotional' and more 'your emotions have real power and you should own it' which is actually kind of refreshing especially for a Nintendo game where player characters have almost no visible emotions at all usually.
