Demi Pierpont, a backstory (in progress)

He was born on a warm summer evening- a redundant phrase, since all evenings in Yenzaland are warm, as are most days and all seasons. His parents marvelled at his incredibly small size and full head of hair.
Demi grew up as many children did in the bustling festival-island known as Yenzaland-wildly and freely, surrounded by music, laughter, whirlwind nights and a thousand and one tourists. His mother, a beautiful woman with sunset hair and feet as light as an ocean breeze, taught him to love deeply and live freely, while his father, tall and dark and steady, taught him restraint and composure. Together, they were a sight to behold, as Demi and his mother sang and danced to the tune of his father's music. Together, they were a perfect team, the Yenzaland ideal. Together, they were happy. Sometimes, Demi wishes things could have stayed that way.
Unfortunately, Fodie had other plans.
