"blue ID" is the ID card of every Israeli citizen, while "green ID" is the ID card issues by the Palestinian Authority. Arabs in east Jerusalem have a blue ID card because east Jerusalem is part of Israel, which makes them Israeli citizens. Arabs in areas A and B are not part of Israel, hence they dont have Israeli citizenship, hence no blue IDs. Your nationality (i.e., "Jewish" or "Arab" isnt written in your ID since the early 2000s. It certainly used to be this way, but youre gonna have a very hard time finding a single ID card that has this now.

License plates are not "racial symbols", they are again, like ID cards, related to the fucking country you live in. Israeli license plates are yellow, PA license plates are green. Plenty Arabs living in Area C in the West Bank have yellow license plates because their cars are registered in Israel, not the PA, because they live in Israel.

I agree, but the study in question about college men was a survey of 86 undergraduates (specifically Juniors which is an even SMALLER percent of college men) at a singular college and the study itself is filled with omissions and we don't even see the survey questions to understand how they got that conclusion from the men in the study.

The 86 people received credit for the survey, which also means it was pooled from students taking the same class, therefore not selected at random. (A requirement for a study like this to be more legitimate)

If you think what happened and is happening to Mizrahi Jews in Israel today is worse than the cultural obliteration and murder and oppression of Jews in the Soviet Union, then you know nothing about the USSR, nothing about Israel, and nothing about history.

It is also complicated when dealing with the Soviet Union, as people tend to forget the USSR was not just Russia, it encompassed many other countries, and Jews in Ukraine are and were not any more Russian than the Jews in Russia were. There was also no distinction between Jews in Russia, Ukraine or Belarus. There are differences between Jews in Georgia, so like Kavkazi or Mountain Jews. But that’s a topic for a different post.

Jews were racialized in the USSR and othered. THE ONLY remotely helpful thing Stalin ever did was vote at the UN for the creation of the State of Israel.
