I feel so angry, scared, and powerless right now. I hate living in a country that actively supports genocide, I hate how many companies actively support genocide. And I hate how difficult it is to find reliable sources of information about what's going on.
Do you know why it is difficult to find reliable sources of information about it? Did you ever stop and think why?
One reason is that it isn't a genocide, it is a war. If it were a genocide the ICJ would have declared it as so. Though I do feel for the suffering of innocent people you can't call something a genocide because you want to or it fits your narrative.
What is going on in the Gaza strip now is a war between an internationally recognized terrorist organization and internationally recognized country. Have many innocent civilans died during this war? Yes, and it is unfortunate. Did israel warn people and tell them to evacuate? Yes. Did Hamas actively stop the civilians from evacuating? Yes Does Hamas store weapond in civilian populatin? Yes Does Hamas attack from schools, hospitals and mosques? Yes
If israel wanted to kill every person in Gaza they could have done it on October 8th. They couldve cut the power, cut the communications and bomb the living hell out of everyone. Israel clearly has the capability to do that. If Hamas, on the other hand, had the capablity to kill every single man, woman and child in Israel they would do it without hesitation.
It’s so strange being a student at a really leftist college right now. I briefly mention being Jewish in a classroom in which we’re specifically talking about marginalized identities and I can literally see people around me, my colleagues and “friends”, wrinkle their noses in disgust. I’ve stopped wearing my Magen David because I’m afraid of what people would think and I feel disgusted with myself for being weak but the last time I wore it someone spit on me. Everyone at my school proudly wears their “punch nazis” patches as they tell me that I’m supporting genocide by saying Baruch HaShem when the corner store has my favorite breakfast.
People really need to distinguish between the government of Israel and its supporters and just random Jewish people. Israel really tries to paint itself as the representative of all Jewish people, but—for all that they cry antisemitism at the slightest criticism—they’re pushing an antisemitic trope by doing so. Don’t buy into the Israeli propaganda by attacking Jewish people for Israel’s genocidal policies.
It takes a special kind of asshole to come onto a Jewish person’s post talking about the antisemitism they’re facing from the people in their personal life and make it about a country thousands of miles away.
Israel isn’t to blame for diaspora antisemitism. People like you are. If you can’t even support Jews when we’re facing individual antisemitism from our peers without making sure everyone knows the antisemitism was totally only because Israel is the Most Evilest Country Ever (it wasn’t), then you are the one conflating Israel with Jewishness. You are the one casting suspicion on Jews for talking about antisemitism. You are the one who would rather victim-blame and gaslight us so that our abusers don’t have to take responsibility for their hatred and cruelty.
So either shut the fuck up about Jews or just admit that you side with the antisemites. Trust me, we prefer the honesty.

Morrocco speaks Arabic because of Arab Colonisation, Ctesiphon was renamed Baghdad by Arab Colonisers, the subjugation of pre-colonial religion and culture such as Jews, Zoroastrians, Shabaks, Assyrians, the continuing collusion between ME states to deny the Kurdish people a state.
Recognising Arabs as colonisers doesn't mean demanding they be expelled, nor does it make anti-arab violence acceptable... But it is necessary if you intend to understand the historic social power dynamics of MENA social issues.
