(To no one's surprise) I'm overly obsessed with the artistic direction of this MV. As one comment says: it's a wild snapshot of the mid 00's. Nonetheless, I've always been obsessed with pretty much everything conforming the video, from the music, the band and the aesthetics for that matter, so nothing new here.

But, again, I'll never stop exalting media where I feel the "edge factor" makes an impact and also because that same element takes me back (ironically) to my happy place.

Lately I've been reflecting a lot on why I'm so eager to feel this nostalgia at every given opportunity that I can only get with 2000's media and, after a long talk and 3 hours of tears with my beloved S.O. @catharticmethodology, we've concluded that it has to do with unresolved "stuff" from my childhood.

T.M.I. maybe, but what I'm trying to say is, I'll always be amazed by how random and deep the connection we make with music can be. We all hear and love the same stuff but the circumstances that lead us to get attached to it and the feelings we get in consequence will never be the exact same.

There you go, the unsolicited, random and well known reflection of the night and the reason why I feel such a deep connection with Porcupine Tree's music. You're welcome.
